![]() how great would it be for amar'e to play well? this guy has taken a ton of **** and deservedly so for multiple injuries, his own stupidity (punching the glass) but he did choose to come to the knicks and bring some respect back to team. how awesome would it be if he came back and really made a huge difference for us?

![]() I'm afraid Amare is not going to get back into a flow enough to affect this series.
We may as well be praying for this guy to come back. At least he has two healthy knees. |

I would love for him to come back and contribute some meaningful minutes- he has a great work ethic and a lot of pride, must be killing him to have so many injuries. Rooting for him as always! |

![]() Sadly, Amar'e is out of shape and has not played in months. He will not be some difference maker. The Knicks need JR and Melo to play better. At least 40% from the field would be better at this point - sadly - and probably enough for the Knick's to have won yesterday's game. It is that simple.

Watch those STAT tapes, when does Melo get most of his assists?

Is he pretty good with moving in the flow of the offense and taking advantage of his opportunities, and plays more high PACENTAGE....sure.... Nevertheless he's a Blackhole.....and really no better than Copeland shot for shot besides being slightly more dynamic. Amar'e against this front court will probably get his ISH pushed in his face. Oh and we know defensively Amar'e is every once in a blue moon surprising, otherwise he turnstyles into a sieve.... I think some of the recent posting wreaks of desperation |

Not difficult to see it happen. Felton's been balling, and the pick and roll has made it's way back into the offense. IDK why we've quit going to it as soon as Tyson steps off the floor, especially with capable finishers like Kenyon, Cope, or hell even Melo, but STAT easily gives us another threat, in addition to that efficient low-post game he's shown us. And with the way Melo and JR have been shooting, getting some easy shots down low is huge. |

Is it really necessary for his position to be a "ball mover? "No better than Copeland..." Man you are truly lost if you think there's any comparison to what Cope gives us vs. Amar'e. GTFO with this kind of lame crap. For his entire career Amar'e has been an elite finisher and that's what he's out there for. He draws fouls and puts pressure on the opposing defense. He's a big with skill and we could use that right now. Just the threat of him around the basket would help. Of course right now Amar'e is out of shape and trying to get his legs back. Between now and saturday he's got some days to get some of his fitness level up to game shape. He'll certainly have time to get most of the way there as the series progresses. No one is expecting Amar'e to be at his peak level or some savior. Rather we simply would like some quality minutes at the PF position to give the Pacers something else to worry about. Even a rusty Amar'e would have some value over what we get from that spot right now in the post. |

![]() Berman's blog talking about practice today was interesting. In addition to Amare going hard in a 3 on 3 apparently Camby did as well. It would be nice if Camby could make an impact in this series. The Knicks could really use his length and Tyson's neck seems to be causing him problems still.
