Isn't that kind of irrelevant?
Say was lose in 7 and Denver loses in 6, you think that it matters?
Denver loses after winning 57 games might sting for its fans, but this ain't about them, its about Knicks.
Is it irrelevant to all the "All we've got to show for Melo is one playoff win" posts? The man shows up. Three years running. Melo don't need no fuhhucking percentages.
What's irrelevant is Denver. Denver is irrelevant. Gallo is irrelevant. Moz is irrelevant. I could say Wilson is irrelevant, but I don't have the ambition required to go look up his impact on their series so far.
I am a Knicks fan. I love our Starphuqched Mooby and all his bully ball killer quarters BK channeling talent. Beats the crap out of spending my life wondering how to pay Faried to stay in nowhere land. IMHO.
have you ever watched king play? he shot over 50% he may be channeling Burger king.. but not Bernard king... sorry bro.. not sure why that comparison keeps coming up....
Watched King several times, and watched both of the back to backs in their beautiful entirety. You don't see similarities or any basis for comparison because you're blinded watching Italy's brightest son.
Explain to me, even as a registered hater, who was the last bonafide scoring champion we had? I suppose you can remind me of lots of people on the knicks scoring 30-40 regularly? I forget...
Ease up tkf. Your personal demon hasn't blown the series yet.
don't you see where your problem is.. you are more concerned with me liking gallo than trying to make a valid point... he is nothing like Bernard kingwho was the last bonafide scoring champion we had?
as a so called KNICK fan, why would that matter? we haven't won a title in 40 years, that is more important than some chucker who shoots low 40% and doesn't defend or pass... it is empty.. taking 35 shots to get 35 points.. if that floats your boat, then fine... but As knick fans, we should strive for more than that.. hero worship leave very little room for objectivity bro....
Hate leaves very little objectivity, either buddy.
How many chips did BK win? WTF are you talking about? Striving requirements? Shooting %? And your buddy's over there giving dance lessons in the other response.
Rather than completely change the subject, why don't you respond to the points I made?
The valid topic is comparison to BK. The valid points would be, where are the two players comparable as Knicks. Stick to the topic, you'll live longer.
Scoring champion.
Prolific scorer.
Tremendous finisher.
Bona fide star.
#1 option for the team.
Dispute them please. Then you might start making sense.
Bernard King and Melo arent really close as a similar player. Bernard was more athletic a way better slasher/finisher on the break. His bread and butter was really a low post turn around jumpshot that he hit at a remarkable rate--an unguardable shot. This is why Bernards FG% was so high--he was primarily a high % low block player slasher and finisher.
Melo on the other hand is more of a high volume jumpshooter who also uses dribble penetration and his strength to bully inside for shots and rebounds off shots. He had way more range and strength than BK--BK did not have a 3pt shot until he came back from injury but Melo's is part of his game. Really not close as players. Im 44 and I saw them both. Id like someone to disagree with me on this--becuase I might have to haev my glasses adjusted seeing that I have watched almost every Knick game since I was 6,
