I still was questioning why did we not keep Ronnie Brewer. But then, even a defensive minded coach like Woodson doesn't appreciate someone who shoots 35% FG and 30% from three. That's why James White was kept over him; as bad as White has been, he's been better than Brewer on offense. That being said, Q is probably an upgrade over both of them, so I don't mind.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

One game into the Celtics-Heat series and the claws are coming out. After the fracas with Kevin Garnett (who was ejected en route to a Game 2 suspension),Quentin Richardson accused Paul Pierce of faking the apparent shoulder injury that started the altercation. "He started to talk to me, so I talked back," Richardson said. "I don't have any business talking to [Pierce], he was on the ground crying. I don't know what was going on, two actresses over there, that's what they are." We're not sure if them's fightin' words; some of our favorite entertainers are actors who happen to be women. Is that such a bad thing?

This move gets my approval soely based on the above quote from Q. Gotta Luv it!!!

LOL

A few of my friends are convinced Q is a Paul Pierce stopper. I dont see it. All I remember his him telling Pierce to meet him after the game and then us losing by 40 some time after. If it wasnt for little Nathan making that 3 we would have had like the worst loss in history or something.

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I am not sure people think he is a PP stopper. I think its more that he will not make things easy on him. Whenever we play the C's they isolate Novak and have that person go 1v1. They score off that play more times than not. Something tells me that won't happen as much with Q Rich.

How big of a rotation do people think the Knicks will use? DO people really think anyone picked up the day before the last game will contribute?

I dont think hes gonna play at all to be honest. I think hes there for foul trouble and because Solomon Jones was terrible.

from what i remember he was an OK 3pt shooter who became mediocre when he played for the knicks. but he was an underrated defender and underrated offensive rebounder. i have no problem with the signing, hes already better than white and novak (better defense). id rather have delonte west though. younger, faster with PG handles.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I think this was a good signing. I think the Knicks may now view Cope as a big for Woodson and Q is a tough defender that used to be able to hit the three. He certainly has a bit more girth then Shump or JR and can bang some of the wings that the Knicks are going to face. I think he is a lot better than White. Also, I remember him as being a good teammate. The story that always comes to mind is his encouraging and helping to carry Eddy Curry through a suicide during training camp.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Shump Insurance

"It gives us one more perimeter guy that can defend a little bit, that can make shots and space the floor like we play. I just think it adds to what we're trying to do.

"We do have a lot of perimeter guys, but my thing has always been whoever plays, you've got to make the most out of your minutes. And if we get somebody in the game that's struggling a little bit, then maybe I can turn to Quentin ... to get it done. That's the reason for bringing him to our ballclub."

- Coach Woodson on ESPN radio

Earl Smith can play the two next to Pablo or Kidd.

In a cameo, QRich will be the defensive stunt man for Iman Shumpert, who can sub for Ray Felton on defense.

I remember a player who talked a lot of stuff, but was statistically the worst starter in the league at any position, if my memory serves me. A player who finally decided to show up for camp in shape the season after he left the Knicks. Don't like this at all, its like a bad memory from the Isiah years.

I hope there isn't a need for QRich, but if he does his part to help the squad, the other stuff won't matter.

QRich is following in the same thought process this team has been built on this year and that is guys with experience that don't need to be coached up or that you have to worry about how they'll respond in the playoffs. QRich has been thru a lot and if he did have to come in, he would likely not spazz out. Guys like KMart and Sheed just know what it's about and Woody and Gruny like those kinds of guys. They're all TOUGH too. You won't be punkin any of our vets.
