One Mans Trash Is Another Mans Emergency Center

Except that Singleton is 6'8 Forward trash that can rebound a little.

As of today, we have no one over 6'9 to man the middle.
The idea of Carmelo Anthony being exposed to many more inside collisions is not a pleasant one.

i agree
getting bodies make sense
this james dont make sense!

havent Ny learned from James White?

Singleton is 6 8 tweener with rebounding skills that is it

you got a 31 year old ADD whom been around since 2001-2002
3 teams & then China

who the hell is this guy
I'd rather you get a younger BIG or younger swing guard
whom can handle ball PG/SG duties

Singleton? he wont be any help impact & this is a waste
of time move to DJ

31 yr old whom NBA hasnt been knocking down walls to keep
in nba, & that whom Ny is interested in over injured KT

*dont get it !

true...but at this stage of the game...you can probably get a high effort player taller than 6'8".

I don't see the point of dumping KT (or anyone else) for anyone available, considering the eligibility requirements for the postseason. I'd rather have a 'dead' roster spot and a chance he might be able to play a few minutes in the postseason than a warm body to eat up regular season minutes. Play 4 guards if need be and rain threes

I was going to say Jeremy Tyler but he is not eligible for playoffs. He was cut by the Hawks recently.

People are expecting too much. A guy in this role simply has to be able to defend, rebound and finish on alleyoops and dump offs. He has the necessary athletic ability and the high energy and aggressive style. He's KMart Clone and that's what we need.

really? that's awesome. if that's the case, I feel a lot differently about the signing. I live in DC and saw Singleton a little last year. He's not great but he can play. His upside would be 'serviceable' and like you said, that's all the Knicks would need from him anyway

It makes you wonder because its Isola's story. However, every media source has run with it.

If you know who and he is eligible for playoff action, send the info to Grunwald!

But at this point, its really hard. This isn't the time to get a project center, especially with the playoffs so close. It makes sense to get the best and healthy veteran available and this seems the case.

And I love Kurt as much as any Knicks fan because the guy is amazing, but if he is having surgery, that settles it. Unless, of course, something went wrong with Rasheed and its him being cut. Whoever is, the guy we sign is necessary.

What's the point on saying a signing is a bust when the player hasn't even played a single minute? It's like on some music site I look at, some fans of a band are criticising their new, unreleased, unheard album based on the song titles alone. Ridiculous!

At this point we just need a living human being so our players can sit and get some rest- I honestly don't care how he plays, just so long as he can stay on the court for 30 mins in these last few games.

Exactly. We need someone with a pulse that can grab a few boards and won't make any waves just for the remainder of the season. I'd be surprised if Singleton saw one second in the playoffs.
