Is "Good JR" here to stay? It seems so. I must say that he's making the conscious effort to get to the rim more. If he can do that, then he really gives this team a huge lift. They said tonight that the Knicks are 27-4 when JR shoots 50%. If he can stay aggressive like this it can really change things for how teams look to try and defend us in the playoffs.

I love it, Jr playing well and posters like they way he is attacking rim, it reminds some of them of Hardens attack.

That doesn't make a certain group happy to make that kind of positive comparison, they have to **** on the thread.

Jr hit's 30 for three games straight and one of the dickholes on the site want to turn this "same ole run" into a Melo sniping thread??? SMH

In this recent stretch he's been like James Harden but without the assists.

and the TOs. Plus he doesn't get the quick whistle like Harden and Durant.

The Artist

Smith has been much quicker with his ballhandling and he's been exploding to the basket much faster. He's not holding the rock as long and not stepping back into contested fadeaways. His typical move has consisted of two crossover dribbles and then a drive, sometimes including a spin move on the way to the basket, and finishing with a soaring, strong layup. - Jared Zwerling, ESPN

Discovery can happen at once, or it can happen gradually. whatever epiphany Earl Smith is having, may he continue to revel in the joy of the game as a winner.

Eh, per 36 min, Harden has averaged about 1 more TO and 3 more assists than Smith has during this streak.

JR's shot over 50% that many games? I find that statistic hard to believe.

I am utterly shocked at JR's play. But not from a talent perspective. Many of us, including me, have been saying he should take it to the hoop more (same with Melo but to a lesser degree).

We get an upgrade at Pg in zhe offseason and we will improve. The way Martin is playing, perhaps we move Chandler for one... We need some money to resign JR.

tyson wont be moved...esp since hes breaking down.

i think kmart will resign but i can see JR walking. thats y i think we should sign delonte west for cheap

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Big guys get hurt, heck, there are lots of injuries all around. If players like Bynum can get traded, almost anyone, even Stat could.

Seriously, we need to consider how to maximize our talent Vs the cost. Kmart, can help us to better use our money by diversifying.

I think you have to look at KMart as a stop gap and a very good one. He is coming in fresh for the final 1/3 of the season and playoffs but he has had micro fracture surgery on both knees and is 35. I think he will be able to play like he has for the remainder of the season and the playoffs but I don't know if he could do that for 82 games and the playoffs next year. Knicks should definitely bring him back but I think he would need to be a 20-25 minute player or at least restrict his minutes like Boston does with KG and maybe give him a rest at some point during the season.

Kenyon Martin is 35 years old and has a long injury history. He's also only 6'9" and really isn't capable of playing center for an entire season.
