What seems to be Kidd's problem ?
Drinking to much in Mexico
Just a 39 yr old slump
The game has left him, he's lost his confidence

"Trust me, Kidd's a mentally tough man," Woodson said. "If he's in a position and the game's on the line and he knows he's got to take (a shot), I put my money on Jason Kidd." hmmmmm I'll be watching

What does Woodson see that we don't ?

Thats the problem. Kidd does not want to sit and he gets chippy when it is suggested. It is up to Woodson to grow some balls

Show me an NBA player on any team, anywhere, who wants to sit... and I'll show you a reasonable facsimile of Chris Washburn.

Show me a player with Kidds experience and savy to pass up an open shot when the ball is beautifully rotated for him (as the open man) to take the shot. I expected Brewer or Shumpert to pass up the shot , but not J.Kidd.

Also have you noticed no media has asked him questions about his game in a interview as of late. Are they protecting him ?

Show me a player who's 0-6 when the ball's beautifully rotated to him, and I'll show you someone who should be savvy enough to pass up open shots, and knows his rebounding and occassional steal are just as important.

Especially when you have JR Smith batting .500 from 3.

When the game is on the line ? Woodson said he would put his money on J Kidd shot, but the other night he let the team down by sending it back to the teamate whom the defense converged on.

The same folks said Ray Allen was done last year.

Kidd will find his shooting stroke again, at least he does rebound and get a few steals.

Just shouldn't be playing all these minutes.

Kidd has been a liability recently. He needs that extra second to get his shot off perfectly and defenses are rotating hard to close out on our shooters. We have to pound it inside and quit looking to kick out so early. It would also help if we had more guys who could put the ball on the floor. Kidd is just a standstill shooter with no threat to drive.

If Jason Kidd has ANYTHING left in the tank tonight against the Warriors he should play like it tonight , his bay area hometown where he grew up will be watching closely.

Umm, Allen's basically having the same year this year as last only shooting 42% from 3 instead of the 45% he shot last year.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Jason Kidd has to have less confidence than Eddy Curry right now but he gets more playing time on the court. He has to fell bad and the announcers are giving him too much slack

+1 I hated this signing when it happened and then I ate my words for the first month and a half. Now, he looks like a washed up 40 year old guard again and it sucks.

Jason Kidd's Stats Last 13 Games:

22.2 Minutes Per Game
2.3 Points
3.5 Rebounds
2.0 Assists
18.5% FG%

I'm sure his +/- is still ok for these games, but still those raw numbers are beyond atrocious. can I get a witness

Usually Jared Zwerling writes fluff but he had a good point here on the culture in the Knicks org maybe making Woody overplay Vets just to keep the tabloids at bay:

Even with Marcus Camby and Rasheed Wallace sidelined due to injuries, James White, Kenyon Martin and Kurt Thomas are available and serviceable. In addition, Woodson could balance out the point guards' minutes more to alleviate some of the pressure on Jason Kidd. While he starts off well, Kidd loses steam in the second half and opponents purposely look to attack him.

While the scout said Woodson may feel the pressure of winning in New York, he has to face this fact: Managing older players who have wear and tear means preserving them for the latter part of the season.

"He is stubborn, and that could get him the ax," the scout said. "He definitely needs to play more guys. It would be beneficial to them. It can't hurt."

A seasoned NBA agent agreed and brought up another possible reason for Woodson's shrinking substitutions. He said politics are likely involved.

"The NBA is always political in that the Knicks are not going to want to play a 30-year-old journeyman [White] over a second-year first-round pick [Shumpert] who they see as developing into part of their future," he said.

No matter how Woodson feels about things, he needs to realize what he's working with: an older roster that needs care.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
