You're crap is getting old. It's now became easy to see right through you.
Why'd you stop at 17 games in regards to Felton? Was it to give him a losing record of 8-9? Why not go back 27 games? Oh yeah, that's right, because THAT would put Felton at 17-10 during his past 27 games. Wouldn't have fit your agenda.
Funny how you completely erased the 9-1 record heading into the 17 games you listed. As a way of showing a "losing record".
Well, the season isn't 10 games, it's not 17 games, it's not 57 games... The season is 82 games and our Knicks are 26-14 during games in which Felton has played.
Good job of posting with an agenda though.
You are predictably frustrated. People look for stretches of consistent outcomes. If you say a team has lost 9 of their last 11, it's assumed that was the start of the bad streak and they won 12 games ago. Or if you say the team is on an 8-0 run in a game, it's assumed that before those 8 points the other team scored a basket. The recent bad stretch under Felton is 17 games. 18 games ago things were better.
Why under Felton? Is basketball a team game or no? Why can't we use Stoudemire as the scapegoat?
We were 21-9 before Amar'e and have since gone 11-11 under Amar'e Stoudemire.
How's that for a "stretch" and/or using someone as a scapegoat?
We were 20-8 under Felton before Amar'e returned. And then Stoudemire happened...
Fine, replace "under" with "with." I said "under" because he's the PG and because when we went "only" 6-6 without him, people erroneously inferred that his absence was the reason we were losing. But you can use "with" instead of "under." I don't really care which preposition is used.
Our problems are clearly worse than Felton but he sure isn't helping things. I too was under the assumption that we were playing bad (when Felton was out) because Felton was out. But things haven't changed, actually, in some ways we got worse.
What I worried (and posted) would happen about Felton has CLEARLY happened: He starts hot and then just plays poorly as the season goes on- just like his last stay here. In addition to that he still; see's the floor badly, plays bad defense, doesn't make his teammates better overall, and on and on. He still has a GREAT handle, blows Lin out of the water there, but Lin does everything else better - some things barely (defense) and other things noticeably (seeing the floor, smart player, etc.)
To be fair to Felton, our injuries to the Geriatric bunch have hurt him. For a while he has been asked to do too much. We don't have a consistent #2 scorer - perhaps Stat, but he is coming off the bench and doesn't play defense (either). The farther this season goes along, the worse letting Lin walk is looking, the worse the other offeason decisions are looking and the worse our chances at a championship are looking. I feel embarrassed to have that type of talk now. "Best game of the year" against GS but Curry goes for 50+ and David Lee wasn't even playing.
Anyway, we still stand a chance once the old guys come back, but we are once again, yes again, having the same types of excuses as every years failures. But there is a chance...
