Now that we've signed Kenyon Martin, I'd love for our lineup to look something like this (moving forward)...

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire.
SF: Carmelo Anthony.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Raymond Felton.

C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Kenyon Martin.
SF: Steve Novak.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Jason Kidd.

With Pablo Prigioni, Rasheed Wallace and Kurt Thomas as our 11th, 12th and 13th men off the bench.

This is a guy hated when a net, a dick on the Knuggs and now fans are happy we get another player who don's the orange and blue and every one is cool?

Whats next, lets get paul pierce and KG and have a pep rally over it?

Im remembering why I was not a big fan of JR smith recently before he became a knick.

I "forgave" Melo because its just not worth fighting against that one.

Sheed, and now Martin?

Im gonna keep it real and not turn my back on the Knicks but signing these aging dick heads is not my favorite thing.

Not everyone hated Kenyon Martin. I didn't have much of a problem with him. While people were parading Tim Thomas's fugazy comment, I was like "sigh, we have this joker on this team?" It was embarrassing to be a Knicks fan.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

He's our Dick Head now. It makes a world of difference. See Spree and Kidd

What makes it easy to begin rooting for them is that they are hardworking players

Melo is a little tougher to root for because he takes plays off and doesn't always give max effort

+1 I never really understood all the hate Kidd, Martin, and the Nets received from Knicks fans last decade. I didn't give a **** about them, we sucked and they didn't, and that was because of Layden/Isiah/Dolan not the Nets.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Being from NJ I hated everything about them and how arrogant them and their fake fans were. Dolan and the Knicks deserved it though for being pathetic for over a decade.

I'm from NJ and I can honestly say I've met maybe 2 Nets fans in person in my entire life.

I think I only know one who I can say was always a fan. The rest were Knicks/Bulls fans that jumped on the bandwagon when the Nyets were winning in the 2000s

+1 I never really understood all the hate Kidd, Martin, and the Nets received from Knicks fans last decade. I didn't give a **** about them, we sucked and they didn't, and that was because of Layden/Isiah/Dolan not the Nets.

Not so much Kidd but, Kenyon was a True Goon when he played for the Nets, a walking flagrant foul and Richard Jefferson would talk cash shyt about the Knicks. Kidd made a few statements but they were more of the "responding to the question asked" kind of things. Like a reporters would ask about the rivalry and Kidd would say something like "you need 2good teams for a rivalry" which, was/is quite true so, I got no problem with Kidds statements.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

And Marbury proclaimed he was the best PG in the league the day before playing the Nyets and Kidd ran us off the court and that was the end of the early success of Larry Brown and Stephon Marbury

Are we the Knuggets or the Knets? I absolutely hated Kenyon (and Kidd for that matter) in NJ. Tough to stomach both with New York across their chests.
Winning cures all things I guess. We just damn well better start winning again soon. And please keep Richard Jefferson the hell away from this team.

Knicks deserved the disrespect. We were(?) the clown's of pro sports around the globe. 100mm+ payroll and 23 wins was a joke.

Knick fans hated Kidd, Martin, Sheed, Melo (the fight), and JR.

now its all good.

Personally I respected the hell out of Kidd and while no fans of those Nets, I liked watching Kidd in his prime. he was amazing!
Martin never really bothered me that much but my point is toward those fans who dispised these guys are all now in with them.

Marbury did not deserve the resepct he felt was owed. Max player might have cred with peers in the league but he got paid by the fans and he did deliver much but arrogance and disrespet for his coachs and the fan.

LOL Knicks are not getting Richard Jefferson. He hasn't had anything to offer in years. He got paid because of Kidd. It would be like Landry Fields having his value inflated playing with Kidd in his prime. Except Jefferson played defense unlike Fields

You mean RJ looked great because he played alongside Kidd. Once they were separated, he became a better version of Landry (as you alluded to).

in his defense, a reporter asked him if he felt he was. His (steph's) response was that since Kidd hasn't won a ring either, why shouldn't he consider himself the best. That is not someone truly PROCLAIMING himself to be anything.

It did totally backfire thought because, its been said that the quote had Kidd steaming and that he made it a point to totally shyt on Steph whenever they met up.

I root for the name on the front of the jersey "Knicks" not the one on the back.

Have always been a KMART fan -- like what he brings -- energy/defense/toughness.

He's a Knick now -- no sense worrying about it.

Bernard King & Sprewell both had very sorted pasts when they arrived in NY but NY came to love them. There are many other examples as well. I say judge the guy for what he brings to this years team -- I happen to think he'll help us win some tough games.
