But can make u the most valuable franchise in the league...It's a business...Never forget that...They can now pay for the arena being rebuilt..Stock is tracking higher..Who doesn't have the foresight???...The fans...
Sunk Costs when profits/money made are getting ate up with....
Tax Payments
Paying employees when they aren't providing services for you
When you shrink your earning window
When you throw away assets without getting a return on it
When you lose in the first round every year
MSG makes money regardless if Melo walks through that door or not
HUH????...The stock went from 18 to 50...Knicks made the most money in the league last year...Value of the franchise increased 43% over the last year..U don't try to make money because of taxes???..Some of the biggest Corps in the US pay very little taxes...Much as u try to mock him, Dolan is clearly winning...
Knicks franchise was on the rise of value irregardless of Melo(& Amar'e to a lesser extent) due to Stern and the NBA over inflating Franchise values. Matter of fact Dolan made money off his franchise value based on the impending Kings sale alone. Add in the recent renovations to MSG and the sell of the New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn.
If he's making all this mula then he should have paid Lin(wasn't he a stock cash cow), shouldn't have asked Donnie(remember he helped orchestrate getting Melo here) to take a 40% pay cut.... obviously he has concerns about money.
Probably hurts to see about $10mil on the bench/payroll this year alone doing jack squat for this franchise(Balkman(doesn't even exist), James White(oh wait he might make good on his salary if he wins the dunk out lol), Camby, Sheed, Thomas....Then he has to pay the league back in Tax Dollars that's probably another $10-20mil bill...and I bet he's still paying Larry Brown, D'AnToni, and possibly Isiah previous decade money.
Here we go again talking up Dolan's Billions until he has to match DAT Offer Sheet
