Why do we double on every post up? Let him take a contested postup shot. When we double the post we always give up open 3's.

lately yes, but we've had some good defensive efforts in the 1st quarter, by Melo and Chandler even more so.

You see let them take contested postup shots and they will miss like Johnson just did.

The double-team can misfire, but it works quite often, I already remember a lot of situations like that one (assuming you mean the latest Bogans' triple) ended up with the opposing players turning the ball over.
