In case you didn't notice they almost won.

The league was ramsacked by drugs, and all kinds of madness. Have to give Stern some credit for cleaning up the image and league and bringing it back from the dark ages.

As far as Pop is concerened, you really cant defend him. How can you blame Stern fro trying to protct his business? I know everyone loves Pop, but what he did was disgraceful to the game. When is it okay to throw a game?

Perhaps Pop should submit his roster daily to Stern to sign off on. In the long run this keeps the SPurs more competitive for more games and enhances the NBA product. This fine is shortsighted and essentially is like killing the goose who lays golden eggs because you think you can get more quickly that way. Stern is lucky the Heat rallied to win. He would look like an even bigger buffon had they won.

Stern is just nipping antics like this is the bud. Way to early in the season to be sending 4 starters home.

People pay good money to see the stars play. Im a NBA fan and I totally cosign Stern on this.

Agreed....

SHould they refund you if a player is injured? You bought a ticket that requires them to field a team. Your purchase doesn't give you the right to determine a team's roster.

for real. If I brought a ticket to that game, I'd be pissed off. I mean REALLY, REALLY pissed. That's just wrong. They want to pull stunts like this, give some of the money back

Sterns mistake was he declared that he was going to punish them big so he had to follow through. Pop's to classy but I would love to see a coach rip Stern publicly.

He overstepped his boundaries on this one, I understand if pop did it at home, but he has and old team he's protecting in a hellish stretch of the season. The spurs should be able to sue the league on this one.

Ad for Stern he's done an exceptional job. He had a coke league that had a serious image problem. He marketed the game around its stars and opened up the league to tremendous international talent. He instituted a age rule that helps protect teams and veteran players and the dress code has been an extremely positive moved protecting the leagues image.

Thats gotta be the most angry ive heard Breen get when he said "No, youre wrong!"

They were both very emotional....I thought JVG was about to leave Breen by himself to call the rest of the game if he kept objecting him.

The NBA markets players, not the teams themselves.

Pop could have given his players the same amount of rest, by just having them make the trip, and be there in a suit.

But anyway, we all know this had nothing to do with rest, it was a clear f u to Stern for making that schedule, and Pop saw this was the golden opportunity to do it.

they are absolutely on the money here. but then the amount of money the players would make would be at issue for the next cba.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Neither side wants to make less money.

The rest also payed off for the starters (except Danny Green who hurt his hamstring). The Spurs starters were looking fresh in OT against a clearly tired Memphis team.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Not the point....Almost does not = a W. Pretty sure the Heat were pumped to play against the end of the Spurs bench.

this is completely different than being disappointed that a guy you wanted to see got injured. This is like you buy tickets to see Slaughterhouse and only Joell Ortiz shows up.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
