agreed.

I will be happy for now at being 3-5th best.

It is! I would take a ECF loss and be happy.

Rome was not built in a day. We must be reasonable and control our euphoria

If we had this team and these PG's against Miami (AND FREAKIN BREWER), that woulda been one hell of a series.

Defectors usually make a statement of defection and we give the "good riddence" seal of approval.

yeah, one day at a time. Like Melo said, we're not doing any talking or making and proclamations.

Once the Allstar break arrives, we will/may have earned the right to make such comparisons but, not yet. I Definitely feel you on that but, if we want to be taken seriously as a fan base, we need show some humility until we earn the right to be arrogant like the Miami's and Bostons of the league.

The Knicks where 18-6 to close the season last year and upgraded every position minus Lin. However, while Lin is a better scorer than Felton Raymond is a better 3 ball shooter(judging from his last 3yrs). It is a very small sample size with Lin and he may improve but right now it is what it is. So if last year team can beat the top teams in the east with a worst roster why shouldn't this years team be able to compete when they have upgraded each position and their star player is committed to playing D. Will they be juggernauts who knows but all this team needs to be good is for players to play near their averages. If players just play slightly above their avgs then look out.

Ok, a real fan would have real authentic knockoff "Marvin Webster Knee Pads" in their knick shrin collection.

There you go again, bringing up the N*ts.

There are no such fanatics on the site. I have not read anyone here defecting or pleadging their love.

When in arguement incase of emergency:

1. Use Gallo as leverage on Melo trade
2. Nyets not accomplished anything/Meadowlands attendance
3. Lin did not want to be here
4. Blame MDA
5. Bring up McGrady Trade and bash Donnie
6. Anything Layden
7. Fred Weis

Any arguent can be won using any of the above 7.

It is a great start and Knick fans have every right to be ecstatic. The team looks great and the play is sustainable. We don't live or die through chucking up bad shots and/or forced three attempts. The Knicks defense sets the tone and the offense keeps everyone involved with great ball movement. We do take a lot of threes but many of them are good shot attempts. As I have said numerous times, this is easily the best team the Knciks have fielded in the last 10 to 12 years or so.

As for saying the Knicks are a top team, I dunno. The record will dictate that down the road. Right now the sample size is too small.

All Die hard knick fans are damaged in some form. Otherwise we'd defect. Most long term suffering for championship fans are this way. Cub and Redsox fans waited lifetimes. WE at least have one!

I did not get to my first game until 1971 so you got me.

But give me some credit, I had Johnny Green as one of my top 25 knicks and do know he was about 38 or 39 at the time you saw him!

Back then witout all the surgery technique we have now, that was truely a medical marvel for a basketball player to have that long a career! He was genetically gifted!

On paper that was a good team. Pre Cazzie but you had Bell's and Willis at the power position! I never saw in prime willis play but before the knees bogged him down I have read he was flyer like Dice was very quick. I think most fans don't really appreciate how great Willis was before the championship years!

Or how Bradley struggled at the 2 his rookie year!

Ahem, speak for yourself please, kind sir

1. C - Tyson Chandler - 30 years old.
2. PF - Amar'e Stoudemire - 29 years old
3. SF - Carmelo Anthony - 28 years old
4. SG/SF - Ronnie Brewer - 27 years old
5. PG - Raymond Felton - 28 years old

1. PG/SG - Iman Shumpert - 22 years old
2. SG - JR Smith - 27 years old
3. SF/PF - Steve Novak - 29 years old

Plus a draft pick coming in, resign Smith and Brewer and I like what we have for the next 3-5 years. Just need to add a Pf/C and PG off the bench and replace AMRI.

8. Suddenly change the subject, and ask: "What ever happened to KryptoNate?"
9. Begrudgingly agree that Landry Fields actually did suck here
