![]() Add to this the simple fact that Republicans have blocked the president's agenda at every turn.
They claim Democarats had the House & Senate and chose to ignore the issue... but Mitch McConnell (Republican leader in the Senate) stated his #1 priority is to prevent the Obama agenda and prevent him from being re-elected. Republicans then proceeded to break the Filibuster record by filibustering every piece of legislation that was before them, even routine business. Republicans won back the house in 2010 on the platform of more jobs... Then they proceeded to try and pass over a dozen anti-abortion legislation and have not addressed any economic issues. The only thing they did do is pass Paul Ryan's Draconian budget that would obliterate all social services and safety nets while not asking the rich to pay a dime. If that was not enough... they decided to play games with our debt obligations by demanding further Draconian cuts before they would allow an increase in the debt ceiling (pay for the credit card bill that they racked up for the most part)... ultimately resulting in America's triple A rating being downgraded. You say Obama did not fix it... I say Republicans have not let him do it.. and now are saying his policies do not work when they never let him get the job done in the first place. |

![]() Romneys son said he wanted to take a swing at President Obama. Obama should use this--it shows complete and utter disrespect directly from the son and campaign adviser for Romney. At the bottom line Obama is the President and I think this is way out of bounds.

It is easy for this snot nose punk to talk tough when he was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and never served the military or did anything selfless in his life... Funny how this description can apply to both father and son. |

At the bottom line Obama is the President and I think this is way out of bounds. Heck, Romney was himself extremely disrespectful and rude at the debates. There used to be an expected decorum these things, where the challenger and the incumbent at least gave the benefit of the doubt that the other guy deserved to be there. And dis'ing a sitting president, also a new thing for the Republicans. I agree with folks who point out the racist undertones of this change in attitudes. They have quite literally abandoned the established norms and now have a win at ALL costs mentality, with a shameful disregard of historical precedents. It's downright scary. Do Democrats, like riders in the Tour de France, feel like they have to join the fray lest they be left out? |

Like Yogi Berra said, "you could look it up." (the history of Mormonism and their perception of blacks). True story - In the sixties, during a coast to coast car trip from NY to LA, my family was denied entrance to the famous Mormon Tabernacle. We were not the proper color. I will never forget my Dad's expression. It was not unlike President Obama's. When we got home, he discarded his Mormon Tabernacle Choir albums. once a knick always a knick

![]() Sangfroid - are you sitting down? "The new owners of Ohio’s voting machines under the brand name HART Intercivic is none other than Tagg Romney, the son of Mitt Romney. In recent weeks Tagg has taken a more “active role in his father’s campaign management” but when you look further, he also has a major problem with that role.
By virtue of conflict of interest alone, this role should be investigated by the DOJ preferably involving the addition of the FBI, Homeland Security and the CIA to ensure this connection will not endanger the vote in Ohio and other states. After all isn’t the security of an election both state and federal authorities responsibility to ensure the election is not stolen, tampered, or results altered?" once a knick always a knick

![]() Earl, you are under the assumption that these cats care if elections are won fairly and squarely...It's all about the party...By any means necessary to get their guy in...One guy will tell you Obama is spending too much, our children can't afford this...You show them a chart which shows Obama has spent the least of any President in the last 30/40 years by any historical measure...1/8 of what the all holy Reagan spent in the same time frame...Ronnie spent for 8 years, meanwhile, Romney has proposed to add another 8 trillion in spending to the deficit without any way of paying for it...Obama's deficit is due to the shortfall in revenues as a result of the massive recession and the stimulus to save us from, well u know the story..U know what u get back???....Crickets!!!
Yesterday, on CNBC, Tim Pawlenty, one of Romney's recent advisers was doing an interview..The host(A republican) ask how does Romney plan to tackle the deficit...He said with a straight face, Everyone knows how this needs to be handled...We reform taxes and cut taxes, the top rate down to 20% to spur growth...Cut spending across the board except defense..But sir, the other side is saying the math don't add up..Pawlenty said there will be growth...hahahah..Just unbelievable..From the heavens folks, there will be growth to cover a 24 trillion dollar deficit...Romney was once a pastor right??..We gonna need all the help we can get...And if that don't work, we will get another Democrat in the White House and say it's his/her problem now...Then in another 8 years, republicans will say see, Democrats have created this big problem that only deficit hawks know how to handle...Run the re-run!!! |

This reminds me of another relatively recent election where a crucial state, Florida, experienced technical difficulties with the vote count. What a disaster this can potentially become. Conflict of interest is not even a strong enough term. This is the type of bureaucracy that can derail our democracy by directly affecting the result of the election. ![]() Not since the 60's have we seen this level of Voter Suppression. The Republicans are fully engaged in doing everything they can to restrict the vote to those who they think will most likely vote Democratic. If you just look at all the ways they've gone about restricting the vote or limiting voting options that minorities, young, poor and elderly use the most. It's unbelievable that it's come to this. This is another one sided issue. You don't see Democrats trying to restrict the vote. The Republicans have always looked for ways to cheat when it comes to voting, but they've taken it to new levels recently. I defy any Republican to defend the record on this.
