Philly lost Lou Williams, Iggy, and Brand also. I have a hard time putting Philly ahead. We could finish as high as second but I'm thinking more around fourth.

I guess they think Evan Turner is ready to step it up.

SOmetimes its about internal growth and the development of players. Maybe Iggy and Lou being in front of Turner was inhibiting his growth. Williams is a high volume shooter and Iggy is a max contract you can't ignore.

Maybe Turner doe snot answer the call but if bynum is healthy the defense will have to respect him which creates a differnet dynamic.

Last year Philly lived and died by the perimeter. When hot it works but come playoff time you'll die quickly. Lou Williams was a streak shooter. Nice player but sometimes less is more!

I don't follow them too close but obviously ESPN had some love for what they are doing. I doubt they place them there just beacause they hate the knicks. They and the N*ts just a little bit ahead of us.

Preseason ratings don't matter a bit.

Bynum is going to be huge for them
I think Moultrie and is going to be a real stud (Heat's 1st rounder that they traded to Philly to save money for a future 1st rounder and rights to Justin Hamilton)
Moultrie has 3point range and has great athleticism to go with his long wingspan and size
Having 4 shooters to space the floor with a legit 2 way center in Bynum, while not giving up any size, with their youth, athleticism, and ability to run/defend is going to improve their offense that they lacked

With the continued development of Lavor Allen/Moultrie over the course of the year, and giving more PT with a rotation of Bynum/Spencer Hawes/Kwame Brown.

Their biggest loss is Iggy and his DEF/All round game, giving the opportunity to Holliday, Thaddeus Young, and Evan Tourner to take more responsibility

the rest were just 3point volume shooters that they did replace with Nick Young, Dorrell Wright, Jason Richardson

I actually like the changes they have made and do not think Royal Ivey is a scrub, he is a solid 3rd string PG that could produce if given the opportunity

Evan Turner is going to be a stud... I though that when he got drafted. I know a lot of people thought he was bust because he didn't immediately kick ass and take names.... but he can flat out ball and is massive for a wing
