Dam Sixers got Bynum. I'm salty. Knicks need to see if Bynum is available. I don't see him staying on that trash team.

Lakers are old as ****. All this does is send rippling effects through the league to upgrade their front court.

Arrest at SF. Lakers are paper thin.

Knicks need to float Chandler and Amare and see who bites. Bynum would be a great pickup for us.

Gifts keep coming. Lakers get whatever they want I just find that to be amazing. Don't they fear the cap?

It's not a gift. They can still lose Howard for nothing. Plus they gave up Bynum.

Nash can't guard anyone. Kobe is a year older. Artest is well Artest. Lakers have no shooters and Howard has no jumper. Gasol will be able reduced to a jump shooting big.

I see the Lakers trying to trade Gasol to Houston for perimeter help at the deadline.

We had a nice offseason, but never manage to outright win a deal.

We got Camby and Kidd in the offseason and the Lakers get Howard and Nash.

I can't understand why for the life of me teams insist on hammering the Knicks in trades and the Lakers are handed players. Nash, Gasol, Howard for Bynum, 3 late picks, a second round pick and Kwame Brown. Think about that for a second.

Proving yet again that anyone could be an NBA GM the Magic got back no good players, terrible picks and managed to unload non of their bad contracts. Take the Nets package, send Humpries to Charlotte and Lopez to Minnesota for Williams and pick and have 3 first rounders from the Nets, Brooks, and possibly two more picks.

Why would the Lakers fear the cap? When you play in the second largest market in the country and you're a championship contender it doesn't matter how much money you spend because you're going to be printing money.

Right now the Lakers lineup looks like this: Bynum, Gasol, Artest, Kobe, Nash with Blake, McRoberts, and Hill as the main backups. The only thing they could use is a backup SF/SG who can shoot. I believe Barbosa, Delfino, Josh Howard, Pietrus, and Jodie Meeks are all still available.

I would never trade for a guy coming off back surgery. I'm surer the lakers did there research like the knicks did with BD..but that guy Howard is coming to camp so out of shape...and his pretty much done for atleast this yr...He'll play, but dodn't expect him to be anything close to the howard we all know..

Did promise the lakers an extension

Lavoy Allen, I think he was starting to get some of Brand's minutes in the playoffs.

Bynum also in same contract situation as Howard, not that he would be going anywhere if he were a Laker.

With Bynum going to philly, Grunwald's decision to get more front court help looks almost prescient. Neither Camby nor Thomas is going to be able to stop Bynum when he has one of his monster games, few big men can. It does however give Woodson more options when Chandler takes a spell, the drop off defensively won't be so dramatic this season IMO.

This team made great strides defensively last season with Chandler as the anchor but now that Bynum is in the east and in our division its good to know that he has more help. Grunwald might get him even more. With all the older players on this squad its not a bad idea.

Its true we don't have Howard to deal with anymore but I believe that philly is going to be more of a threat to the Knicks than the Magic would have been if Howard stayed and its good to know that Chandler has more help in making this one of the better defensive teams in the league, which I believe is possible.

Shit, I completely forgot about him. As long as Kobe doesn't screw everything up I don't see how LA isn't the favorite to come out of the West.

Yes. Let's all get upset that Bynum, who the Lakers obviously have little to no confidence in (and Kobe has repeatedly thrown under the bus for years) is now with Philly.

Welcome Andy. Eastern Conference, say hello to the next Emeka Okafor. I'm sure Philly's well on their way to a chip now.

Philly
---------------

Moultrie is going to be their future all star on 76ers
He is a great athlete with 3point range, a hybrid in the mold of Amare/Aldridge/Bosh
Thaddeaus Young is a very good player that can score/rebound but not the all around player Iggy is

Denver
---------------

Iggy was a player I thought would have been perfect for the pre Melo Knicks, he compliments what Denver very well.
If McGee improves with Hakeem and holds back up after a bad year last season possibly due to lock out.
Physically, he has tools to succeed, with GREAT size/ athleticism/ length if he gains the skills to utilize his talents, he can become a top Center.
Denver gets rid of Al Harrington and is due to a big drop off with his age and his bad contract
Affalo is a good player but isn't great at anything, Iggy huge upgrade.
Iggy/ Gallo/Wilson Chandler are all VERY versatile and have great all round games, will cause mismatches
Becomes back one of the deepest teams in the entire league again with youth

Starting lineup of, all 4 players can penetrate, and Lawson is LIGHTNING QUICK/FAST/ and strong for his size.
Their ability to create, penetrate, spread the floor, and RUN up and down is going to improve everyone and be very tough to defend.

Lawson
Iggy
Gallo
Chandler
McGee

still with Faried/Miller/Brewer

Evan Fournier
AR
MosGov
Koufous
Jordan Hamilton

Lakers
-------------

If only Briggs would have been our GM, he would have drafted Bynum over Channing Frye
Regardless, he is a TOP center in the entire league after Dwight Howard
Nash is going to get him easy looks and Dwight is going to set some great screens with Pau

Nash
Kobe
SF or a SG moving Kobe to SF
Pau
Dwight

Orlando
----------

Taking back the bad contracts of Al Harrington and a mediocre talent in Affalo, defeats the purpose of *Clearing Salary/Cap Space*
They did add some youth players with picks but doesn't justify the trade, Houston could offer expirings and non guaranteed with more youth and better picks that would make more sense.
Comparable to the first trade that New Orleans didn't approve in a lower sense

Ranking for Centers (not official, just a general)
=========================================================

Dwight Howard - he is alone in his catagory, no one comes close if healthy

Bynum
Marc Gasol
Hibbert

KG/ Pau Gasol(not sure where to put them, but their versatility and unique skill sets at their positions are rare)

Noah
Duncan
Tyson Chandler
McGee

Anthony Davis
Bosh
Aldridge... I don't really consider him a Center, more of a PF PF/C

Nikola Pekovic
Kaman
Nene
Al Jefferson

Camby
Gortat
Anderson Varejao
DeAndre Jordan
Dalembert
Edoh
Kevin Seraphin
OK4

The shooters Euros at PF/C

Dirk
Kevin Love
Bargani
Donatas Motiejunas
Jonas Valanciunas
Moultrie

Meyers Leonard
Hickson
Cousins
Drummond
Derrick Favors

Enes Kanter
Greg Monroe

Little to no confidence? The only reason they're trading him is because they're getting Howard in return. Bynum has shown that if he can stay healthy he's the second best center and a top-20 player in the NBA. Okafor has never even come close to being as good as Bynum is. And he's still only 24 years old.

As for Philly, they're going to be building around 24 year olds Bynum and Hawes, 23 year old Evan Turner, and 22 year old Jrue Holiday. They're built to be good now and they should only be getting better over the next several years. And, unlike Brooklyn, they might be better than us.

Philly is trash. I cannot stress this enough.

Bynum is not a franchise player. He is a excellent secondary piece.

Bynum + Melo would be sweet. Bynum actually has a post game.
