We don't have a single player who has only been with the Knicks continually since 2009-2010. Many folks, especially those who like watching their younger players develop, or get excited when we pick up gems from the garbage heap (Lin and Novak), are dismayed with what Dolan has done to this team. Many of these people, including myself, are waiting for Shumpert to be traded, after he reestablishes some value on the market. I can't say I was happy with how Lin handled things through all of this- but he may have known or sensed certain things which we have overlooked, and realized our present regime did not truly want him back, despite our public comments. After all, our pursuit of Nash, and even Kidd, could hardly have been taken as a vote of confidence by Lin. In only a few years, this team will start to break up, and we will have no younger players to move in to replace the group that is leaving because we have either gotten rid of them, or the draft picks which may someday turn into the new blood which rejuvenates a franchise. I think we are going to go over the cap soon, even without Lin, and from what I have read, you are no longer able to do sign and trade maneuvers when you are now over the cap (am I incorrect here?), which further limits what we can do. After about 3 years, I anticipate another period of time, perhaps 3-5 years, during which Dolan and friends scramble to put together a competitive team. It will be during this time that we once again start overpaying players in an attempt to keep up with the Joneses. As I have stated before, the team we have is not going to win a title unless other teams lose people through injury. This team will has have little, if any, flexibility over the next few years. We will be a good team, and if everything goes perfect, we will cap out at between 50-53 wins, and an appearance in the second round. We have limited perimeter shooting and, at least as of the end of last year, limited shooting from the post, especially with our backs to the basket. The is not a team that can win a title in the short term, and not a team that can give you a 50 wins/year potential for more than 2, and maybe three years... After that, we face another period of mediocrity, with an ownership you cannot trust to make the best decisions for the welfare of the team. I can see why some fans have been so disheartened by what has happened, and why they have decided not to invest as much of their time and energy with this team. Very sad times for the Knicks, IMO. No man is happy without a delusion of some kind. Delusions are as necessary to our happiness as realities- C.N. Bovee

I think the Knicks will trade the 2013 pick for future picks. No sense in drafting a player that will take the 3 mil exception Check out My NFL Draft Prospect Videos at Youtube User Pages Jmpasq,JPdraftjedi,Jmpasqdraftjedi. www.Draftbreakdown.com
