Chris Rock must be smart enough to stay away from message boards. In an unrelated note, Allan Houston says hi.

oh, hey, tell allan houston to re-sign jeremy lin, since he's being offered 25% of what houston got paid.

Not sure the Erie Bayhawk's budget will allow it. We're at a point where having people scrutinize a player's contract is nearly a rite of passage. I'm sure Lin's skin is thick enough to withstand all of it.

But I agree with Chris Rock's last one. A little bit of continuity would be nice for a change.

folks recall this type of talk? discussing the poison pill/backloaded contract/15 mill in year 3, july 2. it seems more likely the knicks do not think he is the guy to win now. if thats so, im ok with that. all these games these teams are playing to sandbag each other is getting silly. makes a mockery of the whole lockout/owners whinning about salaries being too high/etc...

End of story unless Lin figures out the tougher foes in nba & how to beat them
mentally and physically

teams like Miami Heat are gonna let who beat them?

I don't get what you're saying. We should only sign a player who the Miami Heat will let beat them?
Who is this player?

Lin has to figure out how to singlehandedly beat "the tougher foes in nba"?

I guess he'd have to do something like beat the Lakers without Melo or Stat. Then he'd show himself mentally and physically ready enough for the NBA.

Needs to improve:

- turnovers
- going left
- getting Miami Heat to let him beat them
- being grateful to wear Knicks jersey

i remember that. i still hope that "pause" doesn't mean they won't match. i mean, they're clearly pausing, but i think that continuity is important. as is holding onto our best young player in 20 years.

if lin isn't the point guard to "win now" with, who is? i don't think felton or kidd give the knicks a better chance.

having kidd play alongside lin gives the knicks the best chance. even kidd seems to think that based on his comments when it was still thought the knicks would definitely match lin.

then the knicks say they might not match lin, trade for felton and jason kidd goes on a bender. what does that tell you?

For the sake of JKidd's liver we must resign Lin.

We should all make more Lin threads too. Would it be a crazy idea to have a stickies

1. Melo
2. STAT
3. Lin
4. Melo is fat
5. Felton is fat

in order to reduce all the threads?

Kidd is atremendous leader and is a hof player. He has always had his demons but it is sad that he is still struggling in the twilight of his career.

i have a feeling if we bring back Lin his outlook will improve.

i mean, seriously, he basically said he came here to mentor Lin. the knicks are pulling a bait and switch on the guy who made a big decision and change to come here and the knicks are ready to annoint their leader? only dolan.

I have a feeling that financial analysts are telling Dolan not to match and Dolan wants to match it desperately and will (hopefully) not have the discipline to walk away.

It seems that many analysts think it is a bad move.

I think the guy has some issues, just not on the court or as a teammate. I don't think he was drinking and driving in reaction to lon's situation.
