why is this a bad trade?
jorts is a tough loss, but we have no cap space and want to bring back smith (i am guessing).
how else were we gonna get the guy in a competitive marketplace for his signing?
What is our depth chart C/PF?
If Camby gets hurt and is out 20 games? Are we keeping JJ? Maybe I am not really following this but why did we have to give up two second rounders?
If LeBron James gets hurt, the heat aren't going anywhere. You bring in players counting on them to be healthy, not get hurt.
You give up 2 second rounders because you have to give Houston actual incentive to make the trade and because the Knicks won't be interested in developing players for the duration that this team is together.
Depth chart at PF/C is probably STAT, Chandler, Camby, and the Knicks will bring back Jeffries at the minimum. If somebody goes down, Novak/MELO plays some PF minutes and STAT probably plays some center minutes.
If JJ is here this is Ok. I don't know that he is
I am not even sure we can get enough warm bodies for a 15 man roster- Tyson, Camby, Melo, Stat, Shump, Kidd, Lin(?), JR(?),JJ, Novak, Gadz or SG that's 11. Can we give vets min to 5 guys? How do we sign 4 more players? Sorry I have minimal understanding of the cap. I am assuming we sign Kidd and it takes up our MLE.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!
