Deron in Utah did. Deron of the past 1.5 years did not make anyone better.

MADE Humphries better, They have a solid rotation. They may be better then the Knicks. However Johnson and Wallace are just awful contracts they will be declining within 2 years

Eh, he went from being a career 47% to a 48% shooter. If you're a PG with less than a 2:1 assist:to ratio, you're probably not making anyone better. Humphries is a good example of the more general trend though that when a player's role in an offense changes (ex: getting more shots), the FG% tends not to change.

Nets now look like a mediocre team at worst and i guess that is what they were shooting for. Taking a big gamble by trading all those expiring contracts for Johnson. But a team built around Williams and Johnson with solid role players could be a 7th or 8th seed for the next few years if they stay healthy.

Exactly Nets have absolutely nothing left to offer orlando. No picks, expiring contracts or good young players. The brilliance of King's gwallace trade

This move makes Dolan's starphucking seem like responsible ownership moves. Prokhorov and King really dug the Nets grave with this one. All those expiring contracts down the ****ter for the worst contract in professional sports, Joe Johnson, who's still owed $90 million over 3 years.

The Wallace trade killed them. Had they had that pick/player they might of been able to do it

as mucch as dwight wants to be a net he will not come here for nothing. I mean JJ,wallace, and deron's new contract will pretty much take up all the cap

I agree the wallace contract was horrible...now they cant afford dhoward
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Looks like Dwight played himself. The recent "blackmail" talk and his demands might have soured Brooklyn on Howard or they would have waited. Its not like there was a bidding war for Joe Johnson and his killer contract. If Williams stays with the Nets they wouldn't have a bad lineup. Not great but should make the playoffs every year.

This trade by the Nets is more about doing something to have their name out there then anything. JJ contract is terrible.

Dam Atlanta just gave Johnson away.

Nets are going to have one of the better back courts this year.

how, they only have johnson and a soft ass big man..they know dwill isn't coming back and they neded some kind of star power to attract FA's..now a starting 5 of dwill JJ wallace humphries and big softee is a reasonable squad, but the paper thin on the bench.

Either way, if I'm d will, I'm headed to dallas with dirk

Johnson is the 2nd best SG in the east. Deron Williams and Joe Johnson in the back court is SWEET.

Nets showing Williams they are willing to spend to bring in help NOW! Not hope and pray Howard comes. I'd entertain Joe John for Amare too.
