It amazes me how much skill the lesser offensive players have in practice but yet lack the confidence of displaying it in a real game. I said before but I think to many players get boxed into a certain role and never develop like they should. Some of that is on the players and injuries but I think that coaching staffs lack the foresight to develop players. That includes AAU too. AAu should really be ran totally different IMO.

Melo does not need help on his post game. He's one of the best post players in the game. He needs to play D and for people around him to hit shots.

Never hurts to perfect why not learn from one of the best all time.

Exactly. You always improve your strengths. Also, Hakeem was an undersize Center that used quickness to beat defenders. Melo is a 3 that used some of his quickness but mostly his strength to beat up 3s. He needs to work on using quick moves especially if they plan on uses him at the 4 at times. Plus Melo will probably come in as light as he has been since his rookie year.

Good Point yellowboy. I have been critical of Melo in the past but hearing he has lost 12 lbs so far makes me happy. a quicker melo makes him more dangerous in my opinion

Couldn't agree more. We need higher percentage plays. I certainly want to mix in Melos post/faceup game but good teams win by getting good looks, taking advantage of matchups, and playing fundamentally sound ball. Melo shooting pull ups and fadeaways will never cut it as the primary option. Unless he gets to the basket like he did at the end of the season and becomes a consistent n efficient player we won't get far. But I do think amare is going to have a nice bounce back year and Melo might be out for revenge.
