Just leave Odom alone. Spend the money to get someone 8 years younger with real value and upside. That's all I'm saying. None of those other signings worked out.

You are not taking their contracts into account. Name as many players as you like other than Baron whi was damaged goods whuch one of those guys were acquired for the vet min? You guys areissing the point. We arent bringing in the odom of 5yrs ago. We are adding a veteran to tbe bench that knows how to play and compliments chandler, amare & melo. He is easily the best passer and rebounder & is second defensively only to Tyson and thats arguable

At $3 mil a year Odom might be an outstanding deal. If we didn't have all our money tied up on you know who, we'd have the potential to get several steals. I'd love to have the ability to add Lin, Fields, Odom, and some other potential great bargains. But we don't. We have to pick one. I'm not convinced that Odom is *the* best choice.

So who us your choice or choices?

I don't see how we can get him without using the MLE. Surely some team will give a significant portion of the MLE for him.

Well, he's shown in the past that he's willing to take less money to play where he wants. His last contract he signed with the Lakers was way below market value, so that's what I'm hoping for.

Well his stock is at an all time low right now. If his mind is right, and he's in shape, I don't see how this could be a bad thing especially as a bench guy for the vet minimum price.

If this is the 3 we go with, let them be the vets, like Pierce, Allen, Garnett, or Duncan, Parker, Ginobli. Surround them with young talent, then when the mix is right, throw in the veteran garnish, like Spurs did with Jackson and Diaw.

Most young talent is restricted.

The MLE isnt going to get the Mayo's this off season.

Might and I mean might get Nick Young but I doubt it.
