Only a person not paying any attention would try and make this a referendum on MDA's system. The Suns had multiple seasons as one of the top offensive team in BB. In successive years they went #1, #2,#1, #2 and last year with Felton here the team was at #5, before the trade and still after the trade ended the year at #7. Does he have to really prove anything else.

I think he needed to prove that he could win with different players especially guys that had been stars in other places. That didn't happen. I have read some opinions that place the blame of his not winning on the owner and Anthony. I have read other accounts that place blame on D'Antoni for being stubborn and committed to a system that didn't fit with his star players. Truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

People don't like "the middle" because it does not prove them right (or wrong) but that is exactly where the blame is.

Somewhere in the middle. I love when people have the guts to blame both of them.
