Open his wallet by sabotaging well laid out rebuilding plans? By overpaying for sa second tier star?
Are you a Dolan'S relative?

He has always done more harm than good.

You think anyone respectable and skilled will want to be our GM or coach now? Keep dreaming.

Funny, Woody seems respectable (at least surface grumpy) and skilled and he's happy to be our coach. Sheet, he's been quoted as being happy he got the job as an assistant.

Injured Amare means great setback towards over taking Philly. If we can't do that, we are first round toast.

We all loved the Amare signing but it was starphuch of sorts. The guy has a bad back and proving now he can't handle the load of a 100mil player. Not a good long term plan.

We all loved the idea of the smiley one but the price was high. He'll break down if we play him superstar minutes.

IN the end is the team really that advanced if for WHAT EVER REASON WE DON'T MAKE PLAYOFFS OR ARE FIRST ROUND FODDER?

All of the issues we have are due to impatience of going thru a proper rebuilding process, not following thru a plan with the roster, and having the wrong coach to do the job.

This is not much different than when we endured the drought of Layden who at least kept a plan of not trading picks and after the Dice injury also did not take on salary. It sucked but we were within a year of having some real cap space and having our picks.

The garden was dead. SO Dolan gets Isiah to spend historical amounts of money on malcontented talent and in my opinion the biggest failure int he history of pro sports. Massive cap tax for less than 20 wins!

WE rid of Isiah, go two years of getting the cap space and draft picks lined up for Leborn and instead we settle on damaged players. I really do like Amare but he is damaged and we paid what PHX would not. Dolan goes all again.

ITs always good on paper...........Then the games are played.

Dolan is a lousy owner. He should have left Walsh alone. Not saying we'd be hoisting a trophy but I suspect we'd be more flexible and able to jump on opportunity.

So let's recap:
Layden: Shagdon Canderson, Keep Your Van Horn, Timmy Tommy, etc etc etc
Isaiah: Welcome to the pLayoffs, now welcome to nowhere, Get in the truck, Die Bury Die!, Who Killed Larry?

Present: possibly two years straight in the playoffs. Foddery is still better than Loddery.

Foddery vs. Lottery: Its better. Not contending though.

This is the FU Dolan thread so we just blow off steam here.

Im watching. Team is deep this year so we should remain in the mix at least for the last playoff spot. not quite sure this where I had expectations for this season. But this where we are.

It is back to Lefty Gomez quote: I rather be lucky than good. I'm guessing that's what Jim believes in as well. We have been blessed by the NBA gods. Got lots of deep players playing for rather cheap in Knicks standards. Other teams have 2-3 legit starters with impacts. We got 4 (Melo, Amar'e and Chandler, and then along came Linsanity). Our bench is ridiculous deep. From veterans who used to be power player (Baron Davis, etc) to younglings groomed by Donnie Walsh's master plan. I cannot grant Jim the credit because it's like saying a rich man credited with a great son to take over his company when in reality his son was home-schooled by a great teacher daily while barely sees his dad once a week. I really really hope we can win it all this year because next year, these players that we have? Some will ask for a lot more money if we get anywhere in the playoffs. Also like Nalod said, this is a FU Dolan thread and for us fans a topic to blow off our steam (hell, I got 35 years of bitter steam on this and I'm sure many others here have even more years on me). I don't even mind facing the Bulls or Heat now because I know we got legit scoring starters and a strong bench with a very defensive minded coach, although, I'm still hoping we can take #4 seed spot.

Alrighty then. Dolan Sux. Still glad he spends money on quality some starphucques and didn't drive Walshy away before allowing him to do alot of good.

The glass is slightly less somewhat less measurably less than half full a Cuban my friends.

Spending money on quality players is the owner's JOB. He allowed Walsh build, but what's the point if he just gave away Walsh's work to get one star player? He barely does what an owner does on regular basis, and he's definitely not doing anything what a good owner does. Stern did not disagree that, and you wanna beg to differ?

No, the owner's job is to turn a profit.
You can't give him credit and then take it away in the next sentence. Other posters have shown that some of the value Walsh built is still in play, so he obviously didn't give away all of Walsh's work to get Melo. You say his job is to spend money, the owner does this, and then you say he's definitely not doing anything. I pointed out that Dolan's not even half of a Cuban.
And Stern didn't overturn the Melo trade either, so maybe Stern differs with you?

What owners want is to turn a profit. His job is write checks, i.e. hiring players, etc. I gave him credit for what? I didn't give him any credit. Doing his basic job is not giving him credit. What I'm after is that I really don't think Jim cares much about the team except to make money, which is not hard in NYC because frankly, most of the expensive seats are filled with business elites making business deals while barely paying attention to the game. Knicks is the most expensive franchise in the league for that reason. It is not hard to turn a profit in this team. I said he's definitely not doing anything good for the team. 'Some of the value' Walsh built is still in play? Hell, he quit and why? Stern didn't overturn the trade because there was nothing illegal about it. Bad trades are not illegal, so why should Stern stop that? I'm beginning to think Jim is paying you. I strongly disagree with you and now I'm beginning to think you're just trying to stop some Knicks fans from saying Jim Dolan is a horrible owner. If that's the case, I have no point arguing with you anymore because it will just leads to nowhere. I don't know how long you've been a Knicks fan but I've been one for 34 years and years after years ever since Charles Dolan gave the team to Jim, I watched bad things, bad trades, bad picks, year after year. There's nothing good to say about Jim Dolan.
