This has been a crazy season. We went from sky high expectations, being terrible, being more terrible, Linsanity, then back to terrible. Nuts

Knicks assistants Dan D'Antoni and Phil Weber are gone too, source tells Y! Sports.

Dan had to go. PHil Weber was MDA's boy anyway so he had to go.

Melo is now empowered and is a monster!

What players? Landry Fields and Amar'e? Who cares.

Just saying. As a supporter of D'Antoni being out of here what I wrote above is how it's going to play out. If this team doesn't play better Melo is going to get it from ALL ends. Locker room, Press, Fans, etc...

Now we get to see whether it was really the coach.

+1

The man was dealt a **** hand with this team for 2 years, then as he gets the pieces going, gets a me-first player. The coach usually loses that battle.

Thanks MDA, for at least standing by your principals.

He gets the pieces going. At best, we were a few games over .500. I admit that his system is impressive, but I can honestly say that this guys has never shown me this offensive "genius" that everyone is always talking about. He's rigid and always seems to have a 'I just pissed my pants' look on his face every time we were met with a bit of adversity. Maybe it could have worked if we had a leader like Nash at PG, but we don't and the majority of the teams in the NBA don't. I want a coach who can deal with it and think of ways to compensate for our weaknesses, not fold his arms and crawl into a corner.

i liked mda, dude endured more roster turnover and turmoil here than anyone i can remember. he will be successful wherever he goes next (probably toronto) and the knicks will let the clowns run the circus... again. this franchise will never win.

I wonder if he asked MGMT if they were going to trade #7 before tomorrow's deadline. When Dolan said no, MDA handed in his papers.

Nah I wasn't questioning you..rhetorical lol. In my mind, those two players and Jared Jeffries are probably the most upset.

The Woodson hire was probably the first straw.

Ticket prices were just increased.

The six game losing streak was the last straw.

It's better than an episode of The Sopranos.

MDA never adapted his offense to his personnel and did not have the balls to sit Melo when it was clear he would not conform. MDA's offense requires heady players that pass until you get the open shot. He had a team full of gunner who are not great 3 pt shooters. This team needs a more conventional offense that does not rely on the 3 pt shot as much.
