This situation is tough for Woodson too. He is stuck in the middle of a tense situation and he doesn't have time to really put his own stamp on the team. I hope the Knicks win, but even still I doubt that Woodson sticks as the headcoach permanently.

I agree about him sticking. I think the team would need to have a really good run and win a playoff series or two.

I may not have a lot of faith in Woodson, but I hope for the team's sake this year that he finds success. A good playoff showing still won't be enough if PJax wants the job. This team still has enough talent to get in the playoffs and win games. They need to get back to defending like they were and I hope that the return of JJ will help them do that. Thing is what will Woodson's rotations and lineups look like?

As long as the rotations make sense and are consistent then the team will perform. Shump's decreased minutes made no sense at all. Amidst all the Linsanity his defense to close games was the reason for a lot of those wins. His Defense at end of games when the refs call the game looser led to a lot of easy offense too.

Players perform when they understand what you are doing. D'Antoni moves and subs at times were mind boggling.

We need a intense coach who takes pride in scouting and making adjustments. Hopefully there is one out there.

I don't understand how, after taking 2 years to clear the mess Isiah made, you go back and do it AGAIN.

Knicks had a winning team last year, they had an identity, and now we have this.

It's hard to root for. I don't see anything good in Knicks future.

While the rest of the league worries about winning, we only seem to care about our next controversy and how to tarnish the Knicks name even more.

Truth is, you get tired of the same shnit all the time.

11 new players will do that to any coach. It's not easy to figure out rotations when you keep adding new players to the mix and you're not winning. MDA is normally a very steady rotation guy. He's not known for wild rotations. He had no problems when we were winning during Linsanity. The defensive units he put out there were timely and effective. Best D we've seen in a decade!!!

Im wondering the same. I think Woodson needs to do something bold with the starting lineup and stick with it the rest of the season. He needs to make this group play defense and push them to play as a team. I read that he is an iso guy, so Carmelo mus be ecstatic. Wonder how the rest of the team will react.

We have the talent and the games to change our fortunes. Woodson needs to coach like his career depends on it.

I think Woodson knows that his career does ride on this. He may not have to win big, but just don't embarrass himself. My guess is that he's going to play safe BB. Slow it down and go inside and defend. A less exciting style, but one that could keep the team in games longer. I don't know. It's going to be very interesting. He has to run a lot of what they've already been doing cuz he hasn't had any chance to change anything. Tonight will be still a lot of MDA ball.
