Move on.

Figure out how to get Jorts into the lineup so we're not watching uncontested layups at key points in the game.

I agree about getting Jorts in there. And its simple give him Fields 10-15 bench minutes

I like shumps energy at the games end. I don't know if you give him big minutes he can sustain and finish as well.

Few players can go that hard the whole game.

he doesn't need to play anymore than the 25-30mins he is playing now just start him so we don't get blown out in the 1st & 3rd quarters. Novak & JR will still get their bench minutes. Then you play Jorts over Fields and the clutter at guard is resolved. Need a big man in there who can rebound and defend and bangs guys around which jeffries and Amare can't do. And need to limit Tysons minutes until his wrist healed. Dantoni needs to snap out it of quick

oh and do something about the constant rotating at the end of games. Makes the big guys useless when they are on the perimeter and can't rebound or defend the basket

This is I think a fair criticism of D'Antoni. He cost us the game yesterday, pure and simple.

He is very slow and adjusting and adapting. Sometimes that is a good thing, but when your banging your head against the wall, you eventually end up in a coma!

I'd look to trade both Toney and Fields and see if there isn't a way to free up some cap room to keep someone long term like JR or Davis. Then, won't have a choice about starting Shump or JR!

exactly that was my plan in one of the older threads. Fields becomes expendable in the off season. Make resigning JR & Novak a priority. Package fields and TD & company for 2nd rd picks and small expiring contracs. Should've never picked up toney's option though. Shump is a rookie and comes cheap which is key for a team with 2 max contracts

yea I've never been a fan of the idea that we need his defense and energy off the bench. Doesn't make sense when most games are lost cos the starting unit comes out flat defensively every game. Why not just step on the opponents throat in the 1st 6mins of the game!

I agree..Think we need JR in the staring line up, somebody who can shoot a 3

I'd leave JR in the 2nd unit. Him and BD have a good rapport already.

JR hasn't many threes lately. Just saying.
