In a nutshell, the Knicks' personnel and offensive execution have almost completely removed Stoudemire from his comfort zone and clearly have not played to his strengths. Comparisons of shot locations and situations between the current season and his final season in Phoenix (2009-10) show some striking differences.

Also:

The Knicks' offense will stay Melo-heavy, even after Baron Davis is in the mix, and expecting Davis to play huge minutes and be hugely influential from the outset is folly in-and-of itself.

That second quote is about predicting the future. And it's so assured. They should play the stock market and win.

Yea the second quote is not about my point but I threw it in there as a bonus. But the guy brings good caution about BDiddy.

Turn around? We won 42 games.

Please everyone, bow down to the franchise legend for winning us 42 games after taking the most money to be the main guy on our team!

Then again, you were and still are a Marbury fan. Another low IQ, stat-padding loser that did nothing to help the team on the court.

Amare's teammates played their asses off in that first half of the season last year. They were a TEAM and played off each other well. They played better all around basketball and Amare's domination as the first option masked the fact that he really didn't help us in rebounding or defense at all, hence us being destroyed in the paint and on the boards nearly every game. the guy talks a good game, talks like he can intimidate but when it comes to the game he's the one being intimidated by the opponent.

STATomire needs to go. KG's 13 and 7 would have more of an impact on this team since KG actually plays hard every game on both ends of the court. Can't say that for our "superstar" and "leader" Amare Stoudemire. Btw, I find it hilarious how this guy talks about ball movement and defense when he is antithesis of it. How the hell is this guy a leader of our team when he doesn't do the things he demands? This guy is a complete joke.

He's one of the most frustrating players in the league to watch. Like Nalod said, though, you don't trade for a player expecting them to change.

So we just flow with this team? Or do they make moves before it's too late? Amare's knee's give out?

The team needs to knock it all down and start over. With the limited picks and cap space we have, they probably wouldn't be good until around 2014 at the earliest but all shortcuts are doomed to fail anyway. Now that we have this core, out of curiosity if nothing else I'd like to give it a year and just see what happens, though.

Amare for Dwill straight up or the nets will lose Williams.

We offer Orlando Melo for Howard.

Build our team around Dwight and Dwill. melo for dwight is more likely than Amare for dwight. Orlando gets a top 3 scorer who has improved on D and in his passing game.

Now Amare for Dwill. Would jersey do it? Amare is very popular here in NY. He can announce that the nets are back. I know he has a lot of loyal fans here. Maybe that's what jersey needs to sell tickets and attract another player. win win for both teams.

We move forward with two players that are more complete and will mesh better and we cover the two hardest positions to cover Center and Pg. Offer chandler and shumpert(really dont want to) to GS for Monte Ellis. We know they are trying to move Ellis and want to improve their interior defense. Rumors that Mark Jax wants a big man in the middle.

I wish this was possible some how.

Dwill, Ellis, Howard > Melo, Chandler, Amare.

How is Amare a leader? Explain this to me. Nothing has shown me he is any different than Bosh in that regard.

You're right. I forgot how nasty STAT looked last year and I turned on him and now I'm ashamed of it.

I hope once this team has a PG and can find some people to space the floor (there are ZERO serviceable knock down shooters on this roster right now) he'll look as good as he did in the beginning of last season.

It still really really irks me when we've been riding a losing streak and I catch a play like the one during the Phoenix game where Amare had Steve Nash of all people boxing him out and he made absolutely no effort to body his ass out of the way and go help crash the boards.

What is wrong with Amare right now? Is it lack of PG/3 pt shooters/health?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Scoring points and flexing when you dunk on someone doesn't make you a leader.

Amare is not without fault, but he did lead the team, something he also did in PHO for a long while (Nash attested to it).

I think it's a combination of a few things..I think it's where he now gets the ball...i think it's his new role on the perimeter...He doesn't have anyone trying to get him the ball in the lane...I also think it has tons to do with confidence with the rest of the team...This team has not figure out how they are going to win yet...That's a huge problem now...Melo is not a point forward...I think BD will help alot, not because of his skill but it will take pressure off others and return them to their normal roles...I think we have to make a trade for a geniune backup PG...But we will see, I'm not worried, I a Giant fan, I think people here will eat crow before the end of the year....

Then you must have been asleep the last year...

I was wide awake, thanks.

Scoring points and flexing when you dunk on someone doesn't make you a leader.

No but standing up in front of the cameras when you start 3-8 and say this team has to do better and going out and have a monster first half makes you a leader...Did you really forget he had 8 consecutive 30 point games...Did you forgot last year he led the league with game winners at one point???...Did you forget him giving Moz support who he struggled one particular game???...or you maybe you can only see one month back???

Sure he is off to a slow start..Most of it a product of not having a decent PG...Another is our brilliant coach that many of you love, wants him to be more of a jump shooter this year...I'm really not worried about what STAT will bring this season...I'm more worried about what consistency will happen in our backcourt going into the playoffs...I'm seeing postings that Bosh is better off a 12 game sample...Where were you last year...Do you guys think Bosh could have done what Amare has done for the Knicks...The greatest was the trade for KG proposal who is averaging around 13 and 7...Kick him while he is down and ride his jock when he gets back to form...True definition of fair weather fans!!!!...

Does it not irk you that it appears he doesn't really get after it on the boards and defense in general?

When his game is on he's an awesome scorer/finisher etc but it just kills me to watch him on the boards and on D.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
