No, there was another rookie that he didn't bring in until late in the season, but I can't remember.

Aha, it was Chandler. He didn't get serious burn until February, March of his rookie year.

But this wasn't MDA, was it? Still, it was the Knicks.

Let's also remember that it was TD's rookie year. He was far from ready to run a team and so far still isn't a very good PG.

Nov. 12 of 14 games avg'd 16.4 mpg
Dec. 10 of 15 games avg'd 10.7 mpg
Jan. 5 of 15 games avg'd 12.2 mpg
Feb. 5 of 11 games avg'd 14.4 mpg
Mar. 14 of 16 games avg'd 28.4 mpg
Apr. 8 of 8 games avg'd 30.4 mpg

If you look at the way TD's rookie season went, it was clear that Mike gave him a shot to show what he could do early and as the team and he struggled Mike pulled back TD's minutes and games played. Then when the season was truly over TD played a ton. There was no evident bias on Mike's part, just a coach dealing with a rook that wasn't fully ready and a team that was struggling. Mike doesn't have a problem with rookies and young players. He never has. He's always played good young players that could contribute. This team has had young players in prominent roles so there's no evidence that Mike has a thing against young players.

If you want to go back there Hill is the starting center for Houston and had 17 and 13 the other night in 28 minutes when they beat the Spurs. Also, he didn't play Mosgov until injuries and suspensions forced him to. He gets a ton of credit for playing Moz for a few weeks at the end of January/beginning of February.

If you want to give him credit for playing guys he and Walsh drafted you talk about Gallo and Fields.

Don;t be surprised if Shumpert gets a long audition in the backcourt through December and January.

When he games start piling up and the travel starts to drain energy, quality depth will be critical.

Iman's skills, intensity, and reflexes are outstanding. His shot-selection is atrocious.

Gotta keep working with the Kid. It's gonna take time to learn and adjust to the pro game. I'm positive that everyone is gonna be in his ear at practice to try and teach him to recognize a great shot as opposed to a bad one. I'm also sure that a good razzing in the film sessions will calm him down a bit. It just takes time.

His defense is outstanding. Better than TD. If Bibby is injured, until Bddy comes back he might be our best PG. With him and TD on the floor I'd rather see TD play SG.
