We go 500 with melo and amare, with no training camp very little practice, not to mention a bang up billups, no real back up pg, and a confused sg in fields....

this team will win roughly 45 games

This year there will be a shortened training camp, a shortened preseason, an older Billups, and a shooting guard whose role has changed with the arrival of the new star and very well may struggle to fit in still. I don't expect much out of D'Antoni training camps and my guess is Jared Jeffries is either the starting center on this team or he gets the majority of the minutes at the 5.

Don't worry about JJ, he does not sell tickets. Its not important who plays with our stars as long as we have cap space.

Its always important while you don't win championships that you think someone else can.

My browser will not let me go back beyond the artilces today but I guarntee that Jeffries is on the team and getting the most minutes at the five. He knows the 'system'. At least his minutes this year will come at the expense of Jorts and not a lottery pick. This was as far back as I could go with my browser.

With the center situation up in the air, Jared Jeffries likely will be re-signed. His agent, Andy Miller, spoke with Grunwald yesterday. (Miller also represents Gray). Jeffries probably would be signed for the $1.4 million veteran’s minimum or the $1.9 million biannual exception.

“We talked a lot about role and his minutes,’’ Miller said. “He’s loved New York and has a strong relationship with Mike.’’

Jeffries was out of rhythm after they re-signed him in March after being out of the rotation for the Rockets. But big men are hard to come by.

Since we are fretting, Wasn't Anthony Randolph traded with Eddy to Minny for cap space for Melo Chauns and Balky?

Your right, I gotta move on cuz the more I think about it........

Two no 1's, Randolph, Mozzy, Gallo, Felton and chandler for basically Billups and Melo.

so we traded a lottery pick in gallo.. a high first in randolph , lottery talent in chandler, moz who would easily have been a first round pick, felton who was a lottery pick and two future first round picks for melo and billups.. LOL..... yea, we paid a lot...I don't like it as well nalod.. you know where I stand..

LOL, what kind of pity party 1st round pick math is this bull ****???

I'll give it a try too, how about the 2nd over pick Melo and Billups if he was drafted today would be top ten atlease, Corey Brewers a 1st round pick that Walsh let walk and the 1st round swap with Denver.............. That's 2 top ten picks and 2 1st rounders coming back

I does make my own trade up Maft pretty good too!!!

GTFO!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how Boston swept us without one of our key players and a hobble Amare, and that makes the trade look lopsided.

Yet boston loses Rondo in the 2nd rnd and they easily get knocked off, and no one say sht..

If your ready to say that a healthy billups and amare wouldn't have beat boston and miami, your kiding yourself.
Amare carried the knicks primarily for the entire first half of the season....yeah felton, gallo, and chandler had the good games..None of them ever played consistantly enough for me, none of them drew double teams, especially gallo who really has no post up move whatsoever.

We probably should of held back mosgov, but I certainly wouldn't cancel the deal because of him.

We don't really care about Boston do we?

The 27 games prior was not exactly good ball either.

there was lots of hype wasn't there? Just saying.

few expected much against boston and we were beaten up. Williams, Amare and Billups were all hurt.

If we are roster imbalanced again, I don't see us being healthy do you? Our Stars will log big minutes.

Hey, Im all for winning!

Why wouldn't we be healthy, it's not as if anyone is coming to camp with any nagging injuries.
Why wouldn't we care about (a division foe) boston..

I think we match up better with the current roster..Given how no one could guard melo

If we have a thin imbalanced roster and Amare has to play big minutes, and play the 5 there is a statistically probability he will wear down.

He wore down last year.

Good teams have great players.....

Great teams play great with good players.
