Inferior players?...CP3, STAT, and Melo is inferior to Bosh, Wade and Bron?...Even if you say they are inferior, we are talking about 3 top 15 players if not top ten players...If you can't work with that then we should take our ball and go home....

I wouldn't play for Chris Paul or Dwight Howard in free agency if the chance to add a quality big comes around this offseason, but that's because I think the new CBA isn't going to allow it. Oden's not that guy, though.

I think based on what he's done, if he can stay healthy Oden is gonna grab you 10 rebs and 2.5-3.0 block per game. He's also a 60% shooter and should get you 10 pts off garbage baskets. Basically when he gets healthy (he's only 23- I think its going to happen), he will basically become the next Dikembe Mutombo.

I agree with you. Melo, Stat, Billups is inferior to Bosh, James, Wade, but it should be close enough for New York to at least compete. It's not a terribly huge gap to bridge, and one way or another they're going to have to do it.

This where our medical staff will earn their money. If they give the green light to sign Oden then I think he is worth the risk. Too much of a gamble with the cap uncertainty to not do your homework first before signing Oden.

No way. On a team that would not necessarily be broken if he fails to stay healthy.. yes. But that team is not the Knicks.
Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
