its really not fair to compare Zack with Amare. They have different games and are similar in some ways. Zack has always been the better rebounder. Like everyone else says...

ZBo + Marc Gasol > Amare + Turiaf/Jeffries/Shelden Williams

Being moved by the Knicks seems to be part of what motivated his new team-based outlook. It's as much about sticking to people that decided he was blackhole and wrote him off as much as it is about the idea of player with the team to win. I doubt that he'd be the same player in NY were he still here that he is currently in Memphis.
