Kind of puts a damper on the Fire MDA crap
yep yep. and it hurts the agendas of people who opposed the trade. whatever... they're looking better tonight. efforts like this would've beat the pacers.
This is what I'm talking about with this stuff. There are no agendas by anyone.
I'm glad I'm your favorite.I like how people here go out of their way to try and prove someone else wrong. Then they expect others to come out and announce it like it really matters. What is it with all this machismo here? "OH YOU BETTER MAN THE F UP BRO YOU'RE WRONG!!!". Who cares? I'm not Charles Barkley or some random outsider spectator and neither is anyone else who chooses to have separate opinion from you. Unfortunately anyone who does have a separate opinion is deemed unworthy by you. I'm a fan who roots for the team. I don't need to see failure so I can be happy. If the team wins it's all good. People like TMS who complain about people celebrating wins as "shameless" is what makes this forum unbearable at times. It's this lame you vs. me attitude when we're all fans of the same team. This whole "oh I'll show you!" crap that has been going for a long time here. Someone always trying to one-up someone else. It's annoying. You try and have a debate and then it turns into sections of the forum split into two and acting like little kids over it. We are fans of the same team. At last I know I am. This stuff - this "my opinion is better than yours" garbage - needs to end.
I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong. I've done it numerous times. Usually when I am wrong I'm even ecstatic about it because it means the team/player is doing well. I do not need to make "man up" threads about it. What's the point of this? Are we still in middle school? I'll usually bring it up in a thread somewhere myself and say I'm wrong and if someone later questions me again I'll say it again. I don't need to make an announcement like my opinion matters that much. I also don't need to make an announcement so a few people on a message board can get their rocks off. When I'm wrong, I am wrong. Right now? I am not wrong. I'll be wrong when this team advances in the playoffs this year, next year, whatever year and Carmelo Anthony is leading the way with his defense. That is when I'll be wrong. And maybe you can blame D'Antoni for the defensive performance. But as of right now I do not think I am wrong about the importance of defense, which is my main argument of the trade.
For the record, I never said Carmelo was a half-step up from Zach. I said he was a full step up. Maybe he's even better than that. The only reason he isn't is because his defense is still lackluster at best and awful at worst. The trade did nothing to address major weaknesses in size and defense. Guys like Lebron and Wade have been on 1st team All-Defense teams. Carmelo hasn't. He's been an amazing scorer thus far...but little else. The assists he's gotten recently are good. Hopefully he can be a consistent playmaker and get others involved. That will start making up for his poor defense. I disliked the trade because of the amount we gave up, not the players we gave up. I've sat here and discussed this trade so many times that I am sick of it. I moved on and I'm supporting the team. I am a fan of the Knicks, not a fan of Gallinari, Mozgov or anyone else. I support this team through thick and thin. Sorry I don't have hidden agendas like others here.
