I love Phil Jackson. Except when he was with the Bulls but you know what I mean.

Phil Jackson takes shot at Heat players' tears

“Crygate” is going to be tough for the Miami Heat to live down, especially if they continue to lose games.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson, whose team plays the Heat on Thursday, took advantage of his Miami counterpart, Erik Spoelstra, admitting that some of his players cried in the locker room following their loss to the Bulls on Sunday. Jackson delivered one of his typical verbal jabs at an opponent, telling reporters on Tuesday, “This is the NBA: No Boys Allowed. Big boys don’t cry. But if you’re going to do it, do it in the toilet where no one sees you.”

Lakers star Kobe Bryant, meanwhile, was asked on ESPN 710 in Los Angeles whether he has ever come close to crying in the locker room.

“No,” Bryant said in an interview transcribed by Sports Radio Interviews. “Uh no.”

Asked for a response to the Heat crying in the locker room, Bryant added, “We don’t care too much about bulletin board stuff, but that means nothing to me. I’ll give you an honest answer. ... Everybody truly responds differently. If guys are crying in the locker room, they’re crying in the locker room. It doesn’t mean they’re chumps, doesn’t mean they’re soft, doesn’t mean anything. That’s just how they respond to it.”

The Lakers and Heat enter Thursday night’s game in Miami on opposite paths. The Lakers have not lost since the All-Star break, wining eight straight. The Heat, on the other hand, are on a five-game losing streak, dropping games against the Knicks, Magic, Spurs, Bulls and Trail Blazers.

The Lakers also have revenge in mind. They were blown out by Miami, 96-80, at home on Christmas Day.

More ether from Big Chief Triangle:

Lakers Phil Jackson: "I'm not a big fan of the style Miami plays. I like to see everyone involved." Said they play "Xbox" basketball

The Zen Master is zenning himself to irrelevance. The guy is soooo full of himself.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Kobe looked like he gave the game away. Taking stupid shots in the end.

Say what you want about Miami and their tears, but they just clinched a playoff spot.

Last night kind of showed the recipe the Heat needed to follow. Get RuPaul to play like a 4, not like a perimeter player. Have LeBron control the game for the beginning of halves, then let Wade control the ends of the halves. Kind of like letting Jeter and Pettite shine up front and then turn the ball over to Mariano. It's pretty friggin simple.

I've always maintianed though that Heat have to want to be coached. Considering they designed this operation and are running the show, I'm still not convinved that's the case.

i really hope the knicks surround amar'e and melo with solid role players rather than going after another max contract player. i don't want the knicks to be miami 2.0
