How come JJ2 has a .43 FG% (attrocious for someone 6'11") vs. Turiaf's .525?
And Turiaf can actually pass the ball. Jeffries cannot.

We are a poor defensive team. In particular, we need defensive bigs.

The trade deadline has passed, so we can only address this need with waived, uninjured players.

Jeffries is available, cheap, and uninjured.

But we shouldn’t sign him because _______________________ is available.

Because the claims of his defensive prowess are greatly exaggerated, and he's actually a negative on offense. Anyway, go ahead, lobby for him. You deserve what you'll get. Hope you enjoy watching him stink up the joint.

greatly exagerated how? Knicks were easily the best when he was on the floor last year. The team's +/- numbers dont lie and its a solid sampling. Everyone was better on defense with him and now with star players on offense his shortcomings arent as pronounced. Like him or hate him JJ made the Knicks better last year and thats why the coaching staff wants him back.
