I don't get what Danny Ainge is thinking..they were set up perfectly to make one last run and then all the $ except for Rondo and Pierce comes off after next season

I don't get it, either.

Only explanation to me is they thought Jeff Green could provide wing defense on the Bron/Bosh and STAT/Melo tandems in the East.

Knicks are a potential second round matchup for the Cs now. Don't think they aren't thinking about matching up.

Waiver wire was definitely going to be our best shot for a C. We don't have the pieces to trade for a serviceable one right now, and we have guys like JJ, Murphy, even Barron sitting and waiting for teams to pick them up.

He knows the system and is a solid defender. Right now I'd rank the guys I'd target on the waiver wire like this:

1) Troy Murphy
2) Jared Jeffries (assuming he's waived)
3) Earl Barron
