No doubt, but its still the NBA and Detroit has beaten some good teams of late.

The fact he did it at this level is a START.

Soon we can wish he was "more consistent".

Nalod, what is your issue against people who only hope to see steady improvements in our young players?

I think some have unrealistic expectations and don't understand progress is also exibited but better play and that inconsistancy is part of the growth process.

Its to be expected a player cannot do these things all the time if they have never done them before.

i'm well aware that inconsistency is a part of the growth process... i said i wanted to see more consistency out of him before i pencilled him in as a starter for 30+ every night... that doesn't mean i don't want to see him getting regular minutes from now on so he can progress in his development.

Given Moz's performance tonight, would you rather see him at 18/night or 30/night? I'm leaning towards 30/night...maybe we can work AR in elsewhere.

Bottom line is MDA needs to find him consistent minutes. I think match-ups will dictate the actual amount, as Detroit couldn't guard anyone out there. They had no answer for his size or his speed while slipping the pick and roll.

Beasting on the glass was the the real eye opener for me. The kid boxes out and seems to have good timing, for someone who sat from actual games for so long.

Imagine if... The big man we needed, was here all along.

Mozz is young and NBA speed is different from what he's used to but we see what he can do. He'll not likely have another game like that soon as I don't see him getting that amount of minutes. He was tenative and he eventually settled down, he needs to play in every game from now on. He won't get a lot of minutes but he needs to play and build his confidence.

If he plays good not as good as last time, I'd like to see Anthony Randolph at least get some spot minutes. He earned at least a little playing time too.

if he starts to struggle again do u think he gets relegated back to the bench? i get a feeling MDA will give him a longer leash this time than the one he got at the beginning of the season even though he did get a pretty significant run of games before he got benched.

I hope not. I think MDA was wrong for starting him when the season began, I also don't think that he should have sat all this time without at least spot minutes. Yes I hope MDA has a longer leash now but we will have to see.

I've always wanted him on the floor, you don't get better on the bench. You put him out there and tell him to play defense, rebound, hustle, block/alter shots, get some offensive putbacks and a few alley oop dunks. That's all we need from him.

You do get better on the bench if you're putting the work in behind the scenes. Letting a fella learn on the fly in game action is fine if you're a team that has no chance of making the playoffs, but if you're the Knicks, and the pressure is on Coach Mike to produce after getting a superstar, you don't let young fellas learn on the fly, that's career suicide and season homicide.

would u rather see Timo & AR go back to the bench & continue to run Williams at the 5 in certain rotations?

Moz put the work in, if he can't come correct from here on then he should be on the bench. If he can come correct and help us win, then he should play, that's all. I would rather run Williams at the 5 than play guys that will do more harm than good.

Hey no problem, he says, and if you have anymore questions, please send it, along with $50 in cash, to the Knicks front office, which is actually located here on Long Island. I'll get back to you with your answer ASAP.
