Randolf, Douglas, Turiaf and Mason and picks for Love, a guard and a filler piece

Minnesota, we would like to send to you all of our most pathetic bench fodder and a few distant, low first round picks for your starting PF who is nearly a lock for an all-star position this year, please accept our paltry offer. Thank you.

Let's hope he bangs the owner's daughter then

I'm with you... I think Love is the perfect fit. That said, Kahn wouldn't pull the trigger on a Chandler for Ricky "Eff you Effsticks, I'm staying here and ordering paella" Rubio

If we had the pieces for a Melo trade...then we have the pieces for a Love trade....My point is that more pieces can be added to sweeten the deal and numbers don't have to match because Minny is so far under the cap.

They need veteran leadership...Mason/Turiaf
They want a combo guard to play alongside Rubio...although they'd be small and would prolly prefer Mayo.

They like/think they need Randolph

They like getting picks...future 1st would be a good sweetener...lord knows they don't need another first this year

So, maybe you have to give up Gallo...but your still filling a big need.

I think they are ready to shake the roster up. If they do move Love, I would want to get him here. We will have plenty of cap room w/o melo to re-sign chandler and get some more pieces. Even if they are just lunch pail guys to add depth...It will be another big step in the right direction.

maybe, though not sure why you say that. He is a rebounding machine and would fuel the fast break. Look what Odom did to us last night...even with the O playing poorly, we still had a chance for most of the game...make up the diff in rebounds, and maybe that game could have gone either way.

The Knicks' biggest problem is on the glass. Love also creates just as big of a mismatch on the other side as he allows. Not ot mention all the space he'd create for Amar'e. And I still think that's an upgrade over Shawne Williams at PF and Amar'e at C or Amar'e/Turiaf or Chandler/Amar'e or whatever other option that is currently on the roster.

Anyway, it's a dream, not going to happen

Why isn't Tyson Chandler talked about? He's been the Defensive Player of the Year so far this season and he's a UFA this summer.

Cause there is no way Cuban lets anyone outbid him next year.

....you know, if we sent Chandler, Randolph and Mason to Minny for Love and a guard (maybe Telfair)....we would have enough cap space to sign a max F.A. If Melo is still in Denver, then you have a pretty darn good roster right there baby!

C) Love
F) Amare
F) Melo
G) Fields
G) Felton

What would Denver want along with Curry to get Kmart? Maybe we bring in a couple of enforcers with a trade like this...

KMart/Balkman to the Knickerbockers - KMart starts at Center, Balkman is brought in to mess with uber wings like LeBron

Curry/AZ/Walker go out

KMart's contract expires after the year, Balkman has a longer deal but only makes $1.65 mil per.

But I need to see him do it all year consistently--how he is playing now.

for this year Id focus on trying to get Mayo to upgrade over Douglas(more size and much more explosive player and Jason Thompson. I think Mayo and Thompson would do very well here--and maybe they would just be the pieces we need--nothing else

Something like AR Douglas and 1.5mm in cash for Mayo

2014 pick restricted to only 7 and 1 2012 2nd rounder from GS for Thompson

Do you honestly think MDA would play Jordan? I don't see that happening.

If Mayo & Thompson could be had- those would be great moves.

If MDA was willing to play Timo why wouldn't he play a guy like Jordan who is already doing what we wanted Timo to do (block shots, rebound, finish)?

MDA is not playing Timo except in garbage time... trust me if u watch Jordan play, he's not exactly the smartest player in the world... he's a tremendously gifted physical athlete but he's got a long ways to go to learn about how to play the game... he need a ton of work learning when & where he needs to be on the floor, his defensive rotations, his non-existent perimeter J, his knowledge of what do do w/the ball once he has it in his hands... unless he gets the ball in motion going towards the hoop with a clear lane, or catches the ball 5 feet in front of the basket so he can dunk it, he has no clue... he's got way more of a chance to be the next AR in MDA's doghouse than he does becoming a valuable player in his rotation if u ask me... & i don't say this cuz i wouldn't want Jordan on my team, i actually think he has a ton of potential, but as we've seen potential doesn't win you playing time w/MDA unless u already display that u know what you're doing out on the floor.

i would definitely consider trading for KMart to shore up our bench... i'd make that deal u proposed in a heartbeat... dunno if DEN would tho when all they'd be getting out of the deal is Bill Walker.

KMart is going to be a malcontent if they aren't contending. They've been trying to shed Balkman's contract. Not sure what kind of value they'd be looking for in return there.

since he's been battling knee issues this year who knows, u might be right... just to get Balkman out of their hair they might do it... at least AR would have someone to talk to on the bench every night.

Balkman knows what he is. There's value in that in the NBA. I could see MikeD using him in situations.

For instance, Mason is a defensive force, but he's going to jack up some shots while he's on the floor. Balkman won't do that.

KMart has only played in 7 games this year because he is hurt. Forget him. Go for Carl Landry..... or Dalembert if he isn't hurt. Dalembert hasn't played much recently and had injured his leg, I think, earlier.

The problem is that until the Melo situation is settled, we won't/can't make another deal because we need all of our players/assets for the Mello trade.

his contract is expiring so what do u have to lose? Curry's expiring? he's not giving us anything anyway... Bill Walker is definitely not an essential part of our rotation either, i'd easily give him up to see what KMart can give us... if he doesn't work out, it's nothing lost & his contract comes off the books at year's end... tell u the truth he's probably a lot more tradeable as an expiring contract than Curry is also, so u might gain a better asset in that regard.

but ur right, obviously nothing will get done until the Melo situation is settled.

Maybe you just use him in spots if he's not 100%. If Walsh is looking for a deal that won't impact the cap, that could be one.

The Knicks don't really need much against 90% of the league. Its the Blazers/Lakers/Orlando/Celtics/TWolves that are mismatches.

I don't think Artest is grabbing throats and clothslining people if you have KMart out there.
