You see Oklahoma questioning if they should keep/trade Jeff Greene even though they know he's a good player.

Gallo is our Jeff Greene.

Is he worth keeping vs his replacement when you consider what you can get for him. (I don't know what you can get for him, just guessing)

There is a huge difference between "should we trade Gallo" and "Gallo is horrible and should be released(slight exxageration)"

One is a valid question. One is pretty stupid

Well, through last year and early this year I thought he was pretty bad, I'll admit. My opinion at the time was that he was hurting the team. Now I just think you can make an argument that he's more valuable in trade.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

MS wrote:Better than Gallo? Is that a ****ing joke. He is a marginal bench player in this league that has gotten some nice open looks. Williams can't shoot when he is moving and never gets to the line. I don't think I have seen him make a play for another guy in his limited minutes.

Gallo's problem is that he plays for a coach that really wants guys shooting 3-pointers at a high volume. This kid could average 18pts in his sleep if he would just drive more and not settle for bad shots.

Gallo, although not my favorite player can take over a game at times and that's something that we really need. We have three top scorers and someone is going to get left out at times.

This is going to be a good stretch where he can watch the game and understand what he needs to do to take the next step.

good post... at least you can be fair and truthful about gallo despite not being his biggest fan..

I respect what Williams has done to turn his life around, but it's still too early to expect a lot out of him. Remember when Billy Walker started off hot for us? I think he started out hitting 50 percent of his three before falling down to 43 percent?

Yup.

He is also adds some length and, yes, some toughness on D which could have been useful yesterday.

Surprised that the Williams people have not commented about his game last night, and his role in our loss to the Lakers.

Williams is an excellent minor piece to the Knicks' puzzle, but does not look like a starter, and has some limits on his upside.

I hope he continues to improve, but I have to disappoint some folks with the revelation that he is not the complete player Gallinari is at this point, and may never be.

Shawne Williams is a 6'9 rookie trying to live the straight life

After 35 games in New York his eyes look clear and he controlled himself after the vicious garb of his throat move by Artest

That was the most positive sign he has shown all season

His talent has never been a question

Shawne Williams is following the Gallo path to upward career mobility: stiff-legged, bulls-eyed 3point shooting the first year, tantalizing yet inconsistent drives to basket the next.
