When you add his reputation as a low character guy, he's a player that we should stay away from. I'd love to get McGee if the terms were reasonable.

Everyone says McGee is the better of the two but McGee won't get off the pine in a MDA system that is the truth. Blatche actually fits MDA style of play and probably his number increase under MDA the fact that he can score in many ways works to MDA system his versatility and his ability to create his own shot is an attribute that MDA covets. He will, fit nicely with Amare and give the Knicks another threat.

if MDA was willing to give Mozgov minutes..why wouldn't he give McGee minutes?

Yeah, I don't see why wouldn't play McGee. McGee makes some boneheaded plays on defense, but the dudes grabs every rebound in his area, blocks shots, gets to the open spots on the floor and knows his offensive limitations. He may not be able to make Js yet, but he knows that.

No way, this guy is exactly the same player as Tim Thomas.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

^^^ Yeah but Mike likes those types of players and Tim Thomas had a big time roll in the Suns playoffs a few years back.

Blatch has the make up of a Diaw, just bigger and a little bit more talented. For what is basically a MLE deal, he would be a pretty good pick up. Gallo isn't as good as alot of knicks fans think and if Amare is at the five with Gallo at the four this team will always get killed under the boards.

Blatche is absolutely the last player I want to see the Knicks acquire. His contract is atrocious and his attitude sucks. You will never win a championship with a guy like that playing any type of role on your team. Could you imagine if he tried to pull the triple double stunt he pulled in garbage time vs. the Nets on Riley's Knicks? I think Oak and Mason would have torn him to shreds. There are definitely better options, leave that garbage in D.C., I don't care how well he shoots.

I actually think Gallo is similar too Tim Thomas. Lots of talent but terribly inconsistent and content with being average.

Gallo is 22 and in the middle of his 2nd actual season of playing. How do you know that he's content with being average? It's amazing how impatient NY fans can be with our own players. The Guys played a total of 140 so far and I think he's had some inspired explosions at times against tough Comp. Learning to be consistent is something that young players tend to struggle with.

You can make all the excuses you like.

Gallo was billed as a more NBA ready player because he had begun playing ball professionally in his teens. He also was made out to be a high IQ player. He was also billed as a lights out shooter too.

Those things haven't proven to be the case and he appears no better than other young players around the league.

I actually think Tim Thomas is wayyyyy more talented and physically giften than Gallo. I think the content with being average label def. fits Tim Thomas. It's a wee bit early to say that about Gallo. I know you think people here overrate the kid and you may have a point. But you really lose credibility when you start making statements like that.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
cheers

many start playing pro ball in europe in their teens, sixteen and you can join the 16 and under fiba tourny. thats why i laugh at i dont know what contraction is lebron. fiba size wise eclipses the nba. you a pro at 16 while in the nba there is a minimum age requirement.

back on gallo topic, why hate? add up all his faults he is STILL a good player. we lucky to have gallo, i think we can get more consistent play if we make him more a focal point of offense along with wilson. cause this SSOL is for the birds.
