In French, you'd say "la fin justifie les moyens"...

In English, that means "whatever it takes"...

If not for his infactuation with all things Isiah I'd about call him a new man.

I think for Dolan he does not like to be proven wrong. Its like buying a stock nobody wants and hopeing you think your smarter than everyone else and proving they were wrong. He got players in the same vein. Thinking Marbury would be better with him "advising" him would turn him around.

FIU has to be gringing with every time he speaks about the Knicks.

LIke I said, lets hope this last bit exposed him and even Jimmy see's what a whack job he is.

it pains me to know that Dolan has not publicly backed Walsh in some way. Old man has set this franchise straight and is not getting backed by its owner. Perhaps Dolan is just waiting for Donnie to wake up from his nap and just after he nabs Melo. That would be sweet timing.

Dolan does not verbally back anyone one or anything. He really does not evern talk to the press.

I think its early still. Just 6 games into the season.

If he extends Walsh then is speaks volumes.

Isiah is somewhat of a "Rasputin" type for Dolan.

From RealGM 11-8-2010:
Owner James Dolan is reportedly livid after learning of the alleged pre-draft violations by the Knicks during the Isiah Thomas regime.

The result is that Dolan may have lost trust in Thomas, who is openly lobbying to return to a position in the Knicks' front office. Thomas had previously enjoyed a close relationship with Dolan.

The NBA has initiated an investigation after Yahoo! Sports broke a story claiming the Knicks had violated league rules by holding improper workouts with draft prospects. The league's penalties could include a suspension of Thomas that would attach to any NBA position for which he is hired in the future.

Teams are reportedly leaning on the league to issue harsh sanctions against the Knicks if the NBA does in fact find that the team violated pre-draft rules.

My fingers are crossed that the Knicks and Isaiah get raked over hot coals for this. And as a result, Jimmy D. throws out any last vestige of consideration he may have given to rehire this loser with the $1mil smile.

Rasputin didn't change anything in the ways of history. Isiah is nothing like Rasputin for all I know. It has been well documented, however, that Rasputin was very difficult to kill and I saw the same parallel as Nalod- Isaih is difficult to get rid of also.

This was in one of the UK front page articles...

"NEW YORK – As the clock ticked down in the New York Knicks’ draft room in late June 2005, Isiah Thomas wanted to choose Pittsburgh’s Chris Taft over Florida’s David Lee(notes). Sources say that all around Thomas front-office elders and scouts begged him to change his mind. No one believed Lee would become an All-Star, an $80 million man, but they knew this: Taft was terrible.

Only one of Thomas’ oldest confidants, Brendan Suhr, had a voice strong enough to sway him. Before the Knicks president finally backed down and submitted Lee’s name to be picked with the 30th selection, Thomas snapped, “You’d better be [bleeping] right.” "

This is the best news for the future of the Knicks. I know the piece I've read talks about losing picks, but in the long run it might be worth it if it ensures keeping Thomas out of MSG.

We won't lose picks. I don't think there is any precedent for that. But giving Isaiah an A Priori year suspension should do the trick. Why is David Stern such a douchey puss?

But weren't the Knicks tampering with college talent, isn't that "illegal"? I think this type of violation may set some precedents and they aren't likely to favor the orange and blue. And let's jack Thomas' ban to a lifetime from executive NBA work...we wish.
