Isergio: there have definitely been a few people that have overhyped these guys. That being said the vast majority on this site have been very reasonable. They see two guys with potential who they are rooting for, but know they are both really young, need to grow and may never meet that potential. But just because a guy may never meet his potentail doesn't mean as a fan you get down in the dumps and scream about how bad they are. No need for the overdramatics on your part.

You cany argue cause gallo has dissappointed every one, and AR is...well, we know he isn't who we thought he was. we have been overhyping some of our players, and they have yet to play up to there potential BY FAR. I know it's only 3 games, but if you throw in the preseason, it's not loking good.

I'm not disappointed at all.

1.) Last year was his first full year in the NBA why would I be disappointed at this point in his career
2.) If he never improves on last year then we still have one of the leagues best big man jumpshooters. Nothing wrong with that
3.) I neved thought he was Dirk so now that he isn't it doesn't bother me. That's because I believe my own eyes not thr "hype"
4.) One guy is 21 and the other is 22, too early to be disapointed
5.) %I've minutes of watching AR play in a game last year you could tell he was a project. It was reiterated by the staff. No surprise on my end. This is why its important to use more then youtube highlights as your scouting analysis.
6.) Its been 3 games

geeze.. Guy is 21 and gives you 15ppg/5rpg and hit a lot of big shots a year after back surgery in his first 100 NBA games. Once he gets straight whats a reasonable improvement? 18ppg 6rpg and 3.5assists? Hey Rashard Lewis gets $20mm a year to do that! Gallo is 22! This matters! I give MDA credit. Gallo is coming out strong and hard, but its just not happening for him now so others are getting his burn. Growing pains.

Agreed. Any "first year" or second year player that puts up 15 and 5 at 21 is showing you he has potential. Doesn' matter if the majority of those points are 3 pointers or dunks, he still has proven that he can play.

I'm not worried about the jumpshot. All shooters slump. I think this is more a test of his mental strength. This is the first adversity he has faced since becoming a Knick. Let's see how he handles it. A true future all-star will come out of a slump like this, improved. A future role player will go in the tank. At his age these tests are inevitable. Let's see how he responds.

This is a test of his character and I believe he's tough enough to overcome it and go on to have a good career. Basically Gallo is a Rashard Lewis type of player. He's not gonna be something he's not. I think he has lots of room for improvement in the post game and midrange game, so we'll see how things go this season.

If Fields keeps it up, he's at least a lock for the rookie-soph game, which is great for a 2nd round pick that wasn't even in a lot of experts' top 100 draft board.
