Mosgov looks great. He gets a little out of control and has some happy feet but the guy has a motor and he's huge. He's clearly bigger and I would say more athletic than Tyson Chandler watching them play side by side. I'm extremely impressed by his size and quickness... He really runs well and will be a nightmare as the trailing big man on the break. I get the feeling a lot of teams are going to wonder why the hell they didnt sign Mosgov. He's an NBA rotation player right now. I think he would better but the US guards are giving the Russians a lot of problems.

He should get 10 minutes to start, then we will see how everything unfolds.
New blood, new team, we have to find a way to get Melo here without losing both AR and Gallo then I am going to sh!t myself proper.

I think the time is right to try and get Coach Ewing back from Orlando and let him work with our bigs... I like Herb Williams as a person, but I was never entirely impressed with him as a player, so I am somewhat surprised by the commitment to him as the big man coach...

Summary: Get Ewing back to coach Mozgov.

Mozgov was impressive. I especially like how he moves without the ball. He's lethal on the pick and roll, and in that sense, can even be more intimidating than David Lee. He's going to get a lot of teams into foul trouble because of that. I like the effort on defense.

Good job by the USA. It looks like they have their toughest test ahead, because Argentina and even Lithuania are no jokes.

To be fair, the Herb we saw with the Knicks was a shell of the player he was when he first broke into the league. I would like to see Ewing come back, but I'm not sure it would make that much of a difference.

It's a shame that we don't press a lot. Timo looks like he could do a good job in full court trapping situations.

Dikembe seems a better coach for Mozgov. Mozgov seems more like that type of player no?

Re the Press: With two players like Felton and TD along with the length of Randolph and Amare and the size and aggressiveness of Mozgov, I would expect to see a press that falls in to a 2/2/1 zone pretty regularly.

not IMHO. he can certainly be a defensive force just because size, but he also has potential on the offensive end.

1. How dare you questions Dikembe's offensive game?!

2. If Mozgov pans out at all can we start a thread to nickname here? Dunkovich? Blocovich? Awkwardovich? Flopikova?

He is definitely the anti-Eddy Curry in this regard. He was always moving, trying to set picks, putting his hands up to ask for the ball.

I like what I see. Not gonna get carried away, but he certainly doesn't look like such a project that he can't play now.

He will need to work on several aspects of his game, and could perhaps bulk up a bit more, but the hope of 10-15 minutes for the Knicks is not out of the question by any means.

The main obstacle for him will be the rotation size.

Unless he really outplays Turiaf (even then I doubt he will get bigger minutes) I see him mostly getting in if our bigs get into foul trouble or are getting abused by some of the more legit centers in the NBA (Howard, Yao, Bogut, etc.).

c'mon, man...really? will this idea ever die?

so walsh is just a front man?

sure seems odd since the entire philosophy of the gm has been miles apart in difference since he took over.

I said it when we signed him and I'll say it again.

We need Timmy to play the same role Robin Lopez played next to Amare last year.

Timmy comes in and is an active pain in the rear rolling to the rim, defending the post, clogging the paint and blocking some shots.
