Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is saying the Lebronference is not gonna be in Akron potentially, and lots of rumors are flying around:

Right now there are rumors exploding in the NBA. All over the place involving three-team sign-and-trades, etc. No idea what to believe.

Man, some of you guys are so offended by this, but I personally think this is f'in great and exciting as hell. Yeah, he's got a massive ego, but who cares? This shizat is fun as hell. Can't wait for Thursday night.

We'll just have to wait and see. I'll be at work, on the edge of my seat. I don't really know what this means. This is only telling in that it reveals a bit of LeBron's character and motivations that he'd want to do this, but otherwise, really gives no hints as to what is going to happen. Thursday night will be exciting.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Remember who is started all these rumors? Chris Broussard AKA Lebron's personal news agent. Chris Broussard said tonight on ESPN that HE was contacted by Lebron to do the conference on ESPN.

Bosh(PF), Lebron(SF), Wade(SG) I mean that big three will own any team in the East or West coast. They are ALL signed to Nike too. Only 2 players the Nets need to keep are Courtney Lee and Lopez and they make a combined 4 million. They all sign 5 yr deals with the 4th and 5th year being optional. We know the Russian isnt scared to spend.

Tommy D is reporting it's gonna be in Akron but he hasn't gotten confirmation, Don't think that's a good sign I would imagine I riot would break out if he said he was leaving but then again i'm sure Akron is not like NY lol

Isn't this how it should be after all the hype for more than 2 yrs? There's never been a more eagerly anticipated Free Agent market in sports history. It's been built up so much that the high drama seems only right now. Now there will be a BIG moment. There won't be a boring old AP press release. This is a prime time event. Stern has to love it.

Lebron has always gone out of his way to differentiate Akron from Cleve. When he talks about home, he mentions Akron. I look at Akron as a neutral site. Could be wrong but one can only hope....
