I like what the Pacers did here--I like their three players Rolle George and Stephenson--they all ahev really good athletic bodies and can play two way basketball---Rolle really looks like a steal.

This draft really was a 2nd round draft--I can see where there might be several guys--maybe even some guys not drafted being thought of as under rated after a couple of years.

I think Fields is gonna surprise some people. Can't wait to see how he does.

I would hope so but I don't expect anything from these 2nd rounders.

To even pencil them in as bench players is just.... impossible for me to do.

They're nobodies.

Hope I'm wrong. If I am it might not be a good sign (to have 2nd round unknowns get minutes on what we expect to be a playoff team).

Dunno...inconsequential at the moment though.

Well you have to pencil them in as bench players because we cant afford more of a bench. The draft is a lot deeper in this past decade because of the influx of international players. Seeing a lot of good players come from the 2nd round whereas before you'd be lucky to find 1 or 2 in a 3 year span. I hope we can get something out of them, but I'm definitely more excited about Fields than Rautins

Two guys who have been --well bad have been Favors and Turner. I mean they have really shown very little. I think Cousins might get the last laugh there

also this draft was a 2nd tier draft--having pick 9 and pick 39 had no real difference. I think we did fine and am looking froward to watching our guys.

Too early to judge them, I think. Turner will be fine, I'm sure of it, and Favors needs some development- he is still pretty raw. I don't see the D. Howard comparisons that have been thrown out, though, although I expect him to be a better offensive player at some point.

Cousins is more NBA ready than Favors- no doubt about it, but we both know why he was not picked at the slot truly worthy of his talent.

Hell, he has to surprise us because we know so little about him.

I am looking to see how he defends and whether he has worked on his outside shot.

As for Rautins- you know he is going to shoot- just want to see if he can actually run the point and defend against NBA quality guards.

Very interesting, but short YouTube of Fields- had not seen it before. Watch the very last part- they slow down the dunk.
He is about 2 years younger in the video, I think.

The next is the only big one I have seen- I think I put in another thread before. The guy seems to be a legit player.

I'm also hopeful about Fields. He's a very good athlete, smart and has a reputation as a good defender. He does need to work on his three point shot.

The Pacers did really well--it looks like Stephenson and Rolle have it and George--while he would be better set avoiding taking so many 3's showed great defensive skills and you can see the offensive abilities as well. Stephenson looked like high lottery talent. They kind of stayed away from taking the safe pick so to say and I think they will end up with a top 3 draft there.

He's got good form on the J and handles the ball very well for 6-8. He looks more skilled than Jared Dudley[I guess that who people were comparing him to). Dudley was good all 4 years at BC but was a guy only people on the east coast really knew about and with Fields lack of PT and pub and playing on a bad Stanford team that got little to no east coast TV time---he just became an obscure prospect

The funny thing is that his outside shot is supposedly sporadic, but he looks like he has very good form in these clips, so you hope it is something that will come around with time.

is that just a guess that he won't or is he not allowed because the roster was already set or something?

Don't think he has anything to prove in SL, and some yahoo might injure him.

I know that the idea is to get him ready for the offense, but just practicing is good enough at this point. You also keep other players, who might have value if they get some playing time, from being on the court.
