Did anyone watch MSG tonight? Did they do an update like they promised?

Really! Isn't that what it's all about?

If LeBron doesn't understand why he should be in NY, he doesn't deserve to be a billionaire.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

it's all good...i can understand there is a very real fear the knicks will get nobody and many of you will be left without knowing what to do. literally at a crossroads in your basketball viewing experience. we're talking nervous like mc hammer at an ATM nervous.

at least the yankee fans have someplace else to turn to...but those that aren't need an outlet. i'll be that guy b/c i'm good like that.

bring it on and best of luck...lebron could still be a knick by the time the weekend is over so keep hope alive.

Been a Knicks fan before Lebron was born. Will remain one regardless of what he does.

Yeah I think it is. Interbrand -- Who they hell are they? Is that some kind of a household name? Guaranteed there's a 90% chance or greater that LeBron James has never even heard of that company before in his life. That's supposed to mean something to him???

OK, OK...I get it. Interbrand's legit..LOL! Hey, I've never heard of them but obviously some of you guys have, so I feel a little better. I just didn't get a good read on a couple of things Allan Houston had to say after the meeting and then on what they reportedly discussed and appeared to focus on instead of basketball, but maybe it's nothing. I'm sure everything was covered and all topics were discussed..I'll continue to keep the faith. Again, nobody wants this man to be a Knick more than me, trust me.

You know what else makes me feel a little better -- for what it's worth, Tommy Dee's reporting that we might be real close with Amar'e right now:
http://www.theknicksblog.com/2010/07/01/source-amare-and-ny-in-numbers/

That's good, because Amar'e Stoudemire only increases our chances here and I think MDA might have had a big role in getting things started with this guy (they supposedly had a nice little chat on the phone recently with a face to face scheduled soon -- I think Amar'e's actually coming to NY to meet with us over the weekend)..I like Chris Bosh a little better myself but hey, whatever works (they're actually scheduled to meet with Bosh sometime today I believe)...If bringing in Amar'e Stoudemire increases our chances of getting LeBron to wear the orange & blue, I'm all for it..If we did succeed in bringing Amar'e on board, then pulled off a quick move for Collison/Okafor, Tony Parker (supposedly Parker's thrown it out there that Pop called him and told him he's not going anywhere but I wouldn't say that's set in stone -- esp. when Parker said he wants to come here. I wonder if Pop guaranteed Tony his starting job back when he talked to him??) or something else we may be working on, now all of a sudden we're right there with Chicago, the Nets and anyone else...

Bottom line my friends is this: I don't look at some nifty financial presentation as nearly being enough, however impressive it may have been. If that's it and we do nothing else to improve the team in the final hours here, we're done...Not even in this...If we somehow become proactive the next couple of days in IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF THIS BASKETBALL ROSTER however, along with the financial slideshow, now I think were in the mix for the man's services. Simple as that.

It was a good show, covered everything...Esp. interesting was the quick segment they did with MSG college hoops insider Jon Rothstein on Rautins & Fields. Rothstein brought up the fact that Fields went for 23 & 13 against Kentucky back on 11/25 @ Kentucky..He was talking about how impressive those stats were, esp. the 13 rebounds, considering he did it against that Kentucky frontline (comprised of 3 eventual 1st rounders)..Rothstein said DeMarcus Cousins had some nice things to say about Fields after that game like how they couldn't keep him off the offensive glass (Fields only shot 6-20 that game--0-8 from 3--but had 5 offensive rebs. and went to the line 14 times)..That actually was pretty impressive..
