Knicks should know by now EXACTLY what they need to do to get Lebron to NY... if they still don't know then forget it, he's not coming & never was.

the parameters have been set by Lebron & his people... the Knicks need to go out & deliver on the rest of their mission statement & Donnie needs to pull some serious deals outta his wrinkled ol' azz in the next 2 days.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

probably just means we were doing more grovelling.

alot of begging huh?

I think he will be a Knick. Not based on meeting length. Based solely on who he is. The Knicks needed to walk him through the economics of what they are offering (should be the same economics as what the Nets offered)-- in that sense, the Nets did half the work for the Knicks-- and then the Knicks needed to go through scenarios of where other free agents will end up and the impact on Lebron.

Since we know that the Knicks have a shot at Bosh and Amare, that is a starting point. But also the chance to maybe go after CP3 as we've discussed before. If they could somehow pull that deal off then I don't see how they don't end up with Lebron. I would think that even tho other teams could conceivably offer better deals we still have a chance if CP3 is more interested in playing with Lebron than the other cities.

This was one rumored Deal:

The proposed deal had Portland sending Andre Miller, Joel Przybilla, Nicolas Batum, Jerryd Bayless and the 22nd pick to New Orleans for Paul and Emeka Okafor.

take it with a grain of salt, but Tommy Dee (of the Knicks Blog) is reporting that Amare is a New York Knick:

Trying to confirm but source says Amare to NY is done and they are "working out numbers"...half of the pick and roll set?

you love Tommy Dee. haha. here's more:

Source: Amar’e and NY “In Numbers”

By Tommy Dee on Jul 01, 2010, 11:35 pm

A source close to Amar’e's camp informs us that the Suns big man is ready to come to NY and that they are currently, “figuring out the numbers.”

I’ve somewhat posted conflicting reports about Amar’e and Miami because I’m getting info from everywhere, but it sounds like he’s ready to commit to the Big Apple and it’s a numbers crunch.

Could this be the first shoe to drop in what could be the greatest pick and roll tandem in NBA history?

Stay tuned…Trying to confirm. But either way we won’t know for a while so hang in there…

apparently phoenix only offered 4 years. with their history of frugal spending, i wouldn't be surprised if we get him on 5 year deal.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I mean he is trying to get the other teams with cap space to try to S&T for him so he can get that 6th yr.

well assuming that's true, how does that hurt us? we have the space and a player they might covet who coincidentally could replace Amare in their lineup. we probably have the best offer for them.

Trying to confirm but source says Amare to NY is "almost" done and they are "working out numbers"...half of the pick and roll set? #july1st

Source: http://twitter.com/tommydeetkb

Another source says knicks are "frontrunners" for amare. Get some sleep people. Not happening tonight. No timetable set...#july2

Source: http://twitter.com/tommydeetkb

Tommy Dee is too predictable. He edited the the first quote and added "almost". Then he follows it with a dam near complete reversal.

Good night folks.

That is ridiculous. I mean how does he get away with this garbage.

In their quest to land either of the top two free-agent power forwards – Chris Bosh or Amar’e Stoudemire – the Houston Rockets have been offering Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier and free agent Luis Scola in potential sign-and-trade packages, league sources said.

Scola obviously would have to agree to a sign-and-trade because he’s a free agent. If the Rockets can’t get either Bosh or Stoudemire, they will push forward in negotiations to re-sign Scola.
