in your everyday jobs & its rough in the economy

You think for 1 sec if you got arrested for Pot puffing & your employer got wind of you in Newspapers OR
some arrest to think these days all you'd get is a warning, well yes it depends on your boss.

But you can get fired also
If that is what this comes down today then go right ahead.
I dont believe Wilson should get ax-ed

But all in all if You and me normal folks had same issue try explaining that crap to your boss
while keeping your job!

??? Unless you fail a drug test who is going to know? Unless you are the kingpin of NY what newspaper is going to print a story about you smoking pot? If you employer is concern about whether you smoke pot on your days off or on vacation and you aren't driving buses or flying airplanes then my advice is you should looking for a better job. Sounds like your boss has a personal issue with you.

Perhaps. We are of different standards. Players are suppose to be more responsible

look dont wanna make a big thing about this
however how'd you feel if other knicks were found of some other Crap ? Knicks trying to get good and look forward to free agent
stuff then we have this crap. Look I am a Steeler-man and with all those NFL Rings I aint happy with the Big Ben crap either.

Its about winning and your team. They (Steelers) will miss Big Ben. He did far worse than Wes Chandler understood np.

We know to error or err is human.
But these players are held to standards which is all going to toilet.

MLB with the Steroid and doctor charges. Its no good for me to ignore it and act like it doesnt matter.

Don't hear of no crap with the teams winning Titles like
Lakers, Yankees and so on. Yea the Kobe charge years ago happened and its worst than Pot charges.

But Lets not fool ourselfs, Knicks aint the Lakers, not the Yankees not even the Celtics.

If Knicks were winning titles or elite team and Chandler got pulled over I would or could care less about POT
now Knicks sux I care, we dont need this kind of visibility to a apparently good and skilled player.

See I don't get this higher standard for players stuff. Never did. I guess I'm from the Charles Barkley "I'm not a Role Model" camp.

I'm not looking for Lebron James, Kobe or D-Wade to set an example for me or my daughter. My parents were my role model and I intend to be a role model to my daughter. With me it is hard to get crazy about pot smoking when you now have serving POTUS who admitted or were accused of being baseheads at some point in their lives. We are in living in different times my friend.

I dont respectively disagree, 'cause this is retarded.

My man doesnt have a check-marked history or anything like and LOL @ smoking a lil weed being some sort of indictor of a psychological defect or something. You got him beating up his wiz now? If you didnt stop yourself, you probably would have him plotting the next terrorist attack. BTW, this horrible crime against humanity resulted in a ticket.

To a man most right-thinking people agree that herb shouldnt be criminalized anyway. Besides, he was coming off of surgery and he was probably trying to feel a lil better in all likelihood.

A mistake for sure, but c'mon now.

And nobody has explained to me how the there was smoke, yet the herb was found in his trunk. And see Nalod, I knew this type of opinion was coming.

You made 1 statement I agree with BINGO, 150%
I dont care for Barkley but agree
simply atheletes are not role models. they do have standards but they are not teachers to our kids

Teachers to our kids are different than winning titles or building toward something
is where we part ways on concepts of what is going on.

Like i say i will soon cease from making remarks on the Chandler thing.
You think I like it or it will make Chandler a better offseason player go right ahead my friend.

I dont think its good right now for a team trying to RIGHT its Ship and play in the NBA way of competing to get better
is my only point.

I've never ever heard of bunch of players whom got issues and turned into gold
unless your already allstar or won titles or did something good like LT (NFL Lawrence taylor)befor he did somethings bad.

All in all I aint going to act like Chandler thang cant adversely affect Knicks or their development in getting
better and winning since he's an integral part of the young talent here.

Think you miss my point,
We're trying to get better & have hope, and faith NY Knicks will rise. We aint about getting into issues with the law.
Like Bippity says go & smoke your pot at home, least its private & alright, no offseason or tests can make a big thing.

Being in public is much different when your Team sucks and you need to get healthy for what Knicks org. is paying you
to do which is Ball and help the club.

whatever happen to those ad campaigns about the purchasing of weed helps support terrorists. I remember that hit the airwaves not too long after 9/11. Shameless.

You know what ?
I aint here to argue or cause stress with the masses

Whatever Wilson Chandler done, he should get off. Pot smoking is good as a Knick employee
has nothing to do with a thing. He and Knicks will be fine & he will have super season on
the court.

Happy eh ?

To me it is minimal because it's weed. To tell you the truth, if he had a Rashard Lewis type of issue going on then I would be more of a concern. But that's me.

In many cases, it can be a sign of a behavior or emotional or other psychological disorder, just as drinking alchohal can be as well. Don't just jump to conclusions when you're not sure what the answer is. Weed is not good for your body.

Wasn't there so I wouldn't know, but I'm guessing Wil rolled up a little of the merchandise on the way back from picking up some of that piff? Or maybe he killed the last bit of his stash and just came back from a reup, threw it in the trunk? I'm assuming he was alone in the car but that wasn't explicitly said in the report either. Who knows what the real deal is.

You know they make portable vaporizers now. I dunno why these millionaires can't be up on they technology. If he was smoking a blunt, that's just disappointing. The stuff inside blunts won't get you as much that nasty cardboard tobacco wrapper ripping up your lungs. At least a j would be better. Or a one-hitter... bonus there you can control the smoke better. So I've heard.

And to the "medicinal" point, come on, y'all. He had groin surgery but he's not in enough pain for his 6'8" ass to be sitting in some car. Percoset -- which is a hell of a lot worse -- ain't illegal unless you don't have a script for it. But Perks don't stank up your Benzo for 5-0. Rookie mistakes... I'd imagine anyway.

you'd figure NYC cops would let a member of the Knicks go after being caught with a tiny bit of weed.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

As oakley once said... 75% of the league smoke pot.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Pot is OK but Chan is stupid.
His value gets a hit not because of pot but because the suspicion that he is a moron now confirmed.
And not give me the bull that being smart is not a big deal for pro player.
How many talented to the ruff idiots became a damaged goods or never reached their potential in NBA? Countless.
Give me a name of any one great player who was an idiot.
