His numbers have certainly dropped off since moving out of the pivot. As we've always known, most centers wont come out to guard him but PF/SF will. I've never thought he deserved 8/9/10 mil a year.

He started 2-8 is all. All in the first quarter.

Then went 5-9 the rest of the way.

The dominant players in the league have bad shooting nights, but make up for bad nights by getting to the line. If you are fouled while shooting and hit your free throws, you are basically adding the value of one regular shot to your scoring stats without having to count it as a shot taken. Gallo was 9/9 from the line- that is like hitting three regular shots and a 3 pointer (1 or 2 of them were technicals, I think). Add to Gallo's stats analysis the fact that he was 5/10 from the 3, and this also has to be taken into consideration when looking at his shooting efficiency.

The kid is starting to show some confidence, and understand his importance to this team. Even with his inconsistencies, the second half of this season is showing us that Gallo is a player, and a guy you can build a team around. I only wish that Chandler had not been injured because I thought that he was also finding himself as a player- especially his drives to the basket and a really solid midrange game, although I admit that Chandler being injured allowed Walker to show he deserves consideration for next year.

He is averaging about 23 PPG over his last 5 games, with 5.6 RPG, 3APG, and 1SPG. Don't know what else people want from him at this point in the season, and he is also having some of his better games against some of the better teams in the league.

Pretty exciting to see his game- both physically and mentally, evolve this year.
