too bad MDA doesn't like to play rookies.

The Nate trade is looking like a very decent deal.

David Lee credited with a blocked shot.

If no one here saw it, did it really happen?

Great all around game from the team. Everyone played D, Gallo went off in the third, Douglas was clutch down the stretch. Possibly the best game of the year. Makes you wonder why they can't bring it every night.

I saw it, it was actually a very good, athletic block, skying to reject it at the top of it's parabola. Not like his usual jazzhands. DLee showing good defense the past few games and he should get credit for that.

I thought everyone played with a lot of energy.

Douglas is definitely not afraid to step up on offense during crunch time.

Gallo was a bit too happy with the 3 for me- good things happen when he drives, and he should be doing it more. His 3rd quarter duel with Anthony was exciting, though- good to see him step up to a challenge.

A nice win.

Gallo's 3rd quarter was really his best since he joined the NBA

By FAR!!

T-Mac looked good was shocked he didnt return!!

Giddens as well as Walker look like keepers.....

Great trade as far as I am concerned!!

T Doug never backs down..... Think Chuancey is the type of Guard Toney is capable of becoming!!

Gallo is starting to show signs of what he wants to be......

AN ALL STAR!!

KNICKS on the way UP!!!

good win.

Best game from Al I have seen in a while. He was defending and digging in on those boards.

Lee didn't shoot well but still battled his way to 12/16

GAllo went after it with melo.. gotta love it.. 17 third quarter points. How can anyone complain about that? really didn't back down and finished with another strong game.

TD: came on strong in the 4th.. 9 points and a big hoop.. kid has big time heart. he is a fighter..

good win..

Gallo vs Melo. So so pretty.

I agree.. when was the last time a knick player just went at a big time star... and not just letting them shyt on you in your house... that third quarter saved the game...

was at msg tonight...

a lot of fun...

lee even blocked a shot...i was saying to my friend, "lee with a block! must be his second of the season!" he was cracking up...

gallo looked like a real player tonight...against melo at that one point for a few minutes was like a classic superstar showdown...fans were eating it up...going oooo and ahhhh...but melo chilled out...we thought saving it for later...or thinking i have to consider the team, not just showdowns...

galo was then benched for a bit to start the 4th after his big 3rd quarter...thought maybe he was being saved for late...

missed some jumpers, taking a lot of 3s, some forced, some because denver played good d, and the knicks also didn't do the best job of setting up the offense (douglas for all i like him is partially to blame), and we had like 2 seconds on the shot clock...but then gallo started taking it to the rack and drew some fouls going to the line...

i thought he did a good job on defense guarding melo as well...melo was just sick in the first half...looking unstoppable...

douglas made some mistakes, but mda stuck with him in the 2nd half...don't think duhon played in the 2nd at all...and stepped up late...

hit a huge shot late in the game, and was pretty good at getting guys involved and being a defensive pest...

will say billups is an even bigger player (not surprisingly) and douglas struggled guarding him one on one. billups isn't super fast, but quick, deceptive, smart, and strong as hell.

jr smith killed denver tonight with the missed 3's. seems like he hit, maybe 2-9 or something.

melo was trying to be unselfish, but his team mates didn't step up.

walker did well, especially on D, other than fouling out early, and giddens looked pretty decent...had one really nice move to the basket.

good game for the young players' development...

notice mda kept or put in mostly young players he sees for the team down the road, or who need to get some burn so they can get a look at them, in the 2nd half.

harrington played, and he did pretty well, especially in the 2nd...

overall a pretty damn good game for the team. the garden was pumping...with magic johnson in the audience.

btw, at halftime, herb was instructing douglas on what my friend who played college ball, and i, thought was a defensive instruction, or at least awareness about how he guarded billups. the interaction was night and day compared to what i used to see with nate, who was always so animated.

when i say td made mistakes, a lot of it was dealing with guarding billups who was a TOUGH matchup for him. He didn't turn the ball over much, but he was a bit stiff sometimes running the show. that's what i want to see him improve next. good thing is he took care of the ball. i did like that lee was always showing him support in the game.
