I will just end on this... for the record, I was not happy with the T-mac trade.. i made that known.. but walsh did at least make the picks protected... that was something we all wanted when Isiah made the curry trade. He traded for a guy who had weight problems and a so called "heart" issue.. if anything, not knowing if the latter was true or not, he should have gotten lottery protection, just for that alone... don't you agree? Had he gotten lottery protection at least top 5, we would have had our shot at a host of pretty good players when we were slotted with the second pick that year if I am not mistaken... Isiah left those picks unprotected and that hurt us. especially with the pick we owed the suns and now jazz looming down the road.... walsh has not done the same thing... even the swap is protected, that is much better than what isiah left us with.. but hey, I understand you have your opinion..

i think it's agreed that Isiah made a mistake in trading those picks in the Marbury & Curry trades... just pointing out the pick we gave up in the Marbury trade had lottery protection... the Curry trade swap rights had none & that was a huge mistake, but even if Isiah had gotten top 1 protection on that like Walsh did, it wouldn't have changed the outcome a bit.

which is why i'm upset over Donnie giving up swap rights on next year's draft pick & just getting top 1 protection is pretty laughable, let's face it... one future lottery protected pick i would have been fine with, or Jordan Hill... i would have even been less bothered with throwing Toney Douglas into the trade instead of those swap rights... i just feel this trade puts us in point of no return... now we MUST sign FA's this summer to field at least a playoff competitive team irregardless if we get any of the top names or not... otherwise if we field another crappy ass team we're looking at giving away 4 lottery picks in 5 years, possibly going on 5 lottery picks in 6 years if we end up sucking in 2011... i don't think u can name another franchise with that kind of track record of ineptitude... i just wish we weren't painted into that corner... i would have liked to have some options open to us to wait for 2011 if 2010 didn't work out the way we'd like & still had complete ownership of our pick next year to fall back on... but i guess w/the way our head coach doesn't play rookies, those lottery picks are pretty useless to us anyways.
